We are proud to share a major milestone in next-generation defence technologies. Last weekend, alongside BRAVE1, leading Ukrainian manufacturers, and active military units, we conducted a successful demonstration of 𝗮𝘂𝘁𝗼𝗻𝗼𝗺𝗼𝘂𝘀 𝗮𝗶𝗿-𝘁𝗼-𝗮𝗶𝗿 𝗱𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗰𝗲𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀. Witnessing the system’s 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 and 𝗮𝗱𝗮𝗽𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 in realistic 𝗯𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗹𝗲𝗳𝗶𝗲𝗹𝗱 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 is a significant step forward. C-UAS experts on-site were clear: they had not encountered solutions of this level before. This is more than just a technical win. It signals a shift in how we approach the future of aerial defence, where the very extent of human involvement is being reshaped: autonomous systems execute missions with greater speed and precision in contested environments, while operators remain in control of critical decisions, strengthening 𝗘𝘂𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗮𝗻 𝘀𝗲𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 in an evolving global warfare landscape. A success story isn't defined only by operational achievements. It's 𝗱𝗲𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗱 𝗯𝘆 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗶𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗶𝘁𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝘄𝗵𝗼 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗯𝗲𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗱 𝗶𝘁. At Fiducial, we build 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺-𝗮𝗴𝗻𝗼𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗰 𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿-𝗨𝗔𝗦 𝘀𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗺𝘀 — from precision tracking to interception — designed to help our partners detect, identify, and neutralise airborne threats at scale. We start with the mission, build the capability, prove it works, and then we ask for the capital to scale it. Not the other way around. We are proud to announce that Fiducial has raised over €2M in seed funding from Graduate Ventures, 𝗦𝗲𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗙𝘂𝗻𝗱 (𝗦𝗲𝗰𝗙𝘂𝗻𝗱), and Rabobank. Three very different backers. 𝗢𝗻𝗲 𝘀𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗯𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗳. Graduate Ventures first invested in us at pre-seed in 2023, before our defence pivot, before the interceptions. This round is them 𝗱𝗼𝘂𝗯𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗱𝗼𝘄𝗻 on what they've watched us build from the inside. 𝗦𝗲𝗰𝗙𝘂𝗻𝗱 is a dual-use technology fund financed by the Dutch Ministry of Defence, implemented by the Regional Development Agencies (ROMs) and managed by the Brabant Development Agency (BOM). Their backing means the defence establishment has validated not just our vision, but our 𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘀. Rabobank joining, with support from its Startup & Scale-up team, signals something we believe deeply: that investing in European defence technology is no longer a risk to be avoided. It's a responsibility to be embraced. The capital accelerates three things: scaling production, bringing in exceptional talent, and extending the reach of our platform-agnostic counter-UAS capabilities. For over a year, we've been building. We are proud of what Fiducial has become. We started Fiducial with the intention of developing next generation inspection based on computer vision. However, last year, we realised that our approach can be used for a more secure airspace in Ukraine and across Europe, and so, we turned our focus fully towards defence. We believe precision should speak for the product, not AI. Our foundation is 3D vision, spatial geometry, and classical computer vision. We use machine learning where it measurably improves the outcome. This means operators work with systems whose behavior can be anticipated, verified, and trusted. Over the past year, we grew from fewer than 10 to more than 30 people, spanning 3D computer vision, controls, robotics, aerospace engineering, applied mathematics, and 3D graphics. Our software is now integrated with hardware partners and developed in close collaboration with government stakeholders in Ukraine and across Europe, with confirmed Shahed interceptions and a growing ecosystem: visual-based C-UAS detection, GNSS-denied navigation, and autonomous interception.
