Our annual company outing had us quite literally stuck in the mud, and we loved every minute of it! 🌞 Last week, the Single Quantum team headed to the North Holland coast for a day of adventure, teamwork, and great company. We explored the Wadden Sea on a mudflat walk, balancing our way across the seabed while taking in the beautiful weather, spotting seals 🦭, and enjoying the unique wildlife along the way. It was equal parts challenging, muddy, and fun! After refuelling with classic kibbeling and patat, we returned to Delft for team-building activities, followed by a relaxed dinner together. Building technology capable of detecting photons at the quantum limit takes collaboration across every part of our company. Days like these prove that the strongest teams are built on more than just work projects. The connections, laughter, and shared experiences outside the lab help us achieve even more together inside it. As some SQers head off for a well-deserved break, we'd like to wish everyone a wonderful summer filled with sunshine and great memories!

Congratulations to prof. Philip Walther and co-authors on their recent publication, "50-km Fiber Interferometer for Testing Gravitational Signatures in Quantum Interference." 👏 The team demonstrated a 50 km single-photon fiber interferometer with the sensitivity required to resolve gravity-induced phase shifts in a tabletop experiment, an important milestone for quantum sensing and precision measurements. Single Quantum's multi-pixel SNSPD system was used as the heralding detector for the photon-pair source. By supporting heralding count rates approaching 40 MHz, it enabled higher photon fluxes, shorter acquisition times, and reduced long-term stability requirements for the interferometer, despite the significant losses accumulated over 50 km of fiber. "The combination of high count-rate capability, robustness, and ease of use made the Single Quantum platform an important component in realizing this large-scale quantum optics experiment." Congratulations to everyone on the outstanding achievement. We're proud that Single Quantum's technology could contribute to research applications that push the boundaries physics, and we're excited to see where these discoveries lead next! 📄Read the paper: https://lnkd.in/eFx87EZM #SingleQuantum #SNSPD #QuantumTechnology #QuantumScience #Photonics #QuantumOptics

Last week, SQers celebrated an important milestone in our journey: the delivery of our 400th SNSPD system! 🎉 Detecting a single photon with near-unity efficiency and picosecond time resolution is not something that happens overnight. It’s the result of years of innovation, relentless engineering, and close collaboration across teams—from R&D to production, from operations to customer support. Every system we ship represents not just cutting-edge performance, but a shared commitment to enabling the next breakthroughs in quantum technologies. Reaching 400 systems is a proud moment for our team, and a strong reflection of the trust our customers and partners around the world place in us. To mark the occasion, we brought everyone together for a company BBQ—an opportunity to pause, connect, and celebrate what we’ve achieved together (with plenty of sunshine to match ☀️). Here's to the next milestone! #SingleQuantum #SNSPD #QuantumTechnology #Photonics #PhotonDetection
