About The Team

You’ll be joining the JD.com team, which values collaboration, ownership, and a commitment to delivering high-quality results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. This is a newly created position and JD.com's first dedicated in-house compliance hire for the Selfcare business that is being established in the Netherlands. Reporting to the Chief Compliance Officer, you will own the compliance framework for the Selfcare business transitioning it from the external compliance support and embedding compliance into the business for it to be fully operational and audit-ready.

What You'll Do

  • Own the Netherlands regulatory compliance framework for OTC medicines (UAD and AV), medical devices and healthcare products and ensure it remains current as legislation evolves.
  • Build and maintain relevant quality management system - including SOPs for the wholesale process, supplier and product selection, recall, age verification, temperature control, storage conditions and complaints - and ensure these are operationalised across warehouse, commercial and technology teams.
  • Serve as the primary liaison to the contracted pharmacist - ensuring their authorisation of product information is structured and documented, and managing escalation pathways from the call-centre through to pharmacist review.
  • Oversee PDP compliance for all medicines and healthcare SKUs.
  • Govern advertising and promotional compliance for healthcare products.
  • Manage inbound product controls and warehouse compliance: including supplier verification and temperature storage standards, inventory management and storage.
  • Establish complaints processes, including adverse reaction reporting and procedures.
  • Proactively monitor regulatory change and translate emerging requirements into updated procedures. Manage all mandatory legal registrations and memberships.
  • Report regularly to the Chief Compliance Officer on regulatory status, audit readiness and open risks.
  • Coordinate and promptly perform any recall operations for medicinal products.
  • Ensure that initial and continuous training programmes on handling medicinal products are implemented and maintained;

About You

  • Solid working knowledge of Dutch medicines and healthcare regulation.
  • A number of years in regulatory or quality affairs in the Netherlands, in a role covering OTC medicines, medical devices or healthcare products.
  • Experience designing and maintaining quality management systems in a retail or e-commerce environment, including SOPs, audit trails and CAPA processes.
  • Comfortable operating as a first in-house hire - transitioning from an external consultant model, building processes that scale, and embedding compliance into commercial and operational teams without direct line authority over them.
  • Fluent in Dutch and English; Dutch is essential for regulatory submissions, supplier correspondence and IGJ engagement. Mandarin language skills also an advantage.
  • Experience managing PDP content compliance.

What We Offer

JD Worldwide is selling regulated healthcare products in the Netherlands now, and the compliance framework that underpins that is being built. This hire will own that framework internally for the first time - with direct access to the CCO, a clear mandate to shape how regulatory compliance works across the business, and the scope to build something that is genuinely fit for a scaling European operation.
