Kudos to Skretting Chile for partnering with Mowi Chile's Turismo Salmonero. This initiative connects members of the value chain in order to help raise awareness of the value of the aquaculture industry within the local community. Over 150 members of the public were invited to Skretting Chile's Pargua plant, where they got to learn about ingredients, see how feed was produced, and understand what innovative and sustainable salmon farming is about. "I believe it is of vital importance to connect the entire cycle that brings value to this industry with the people who are part of this industry as well, not just its workers, but society as a whole," said Ronald Barlow, General Manager of Skretting Chile.

How can tilapia farmers produce more with less — while working with nature, not against it? With the recent launch of NutriPond in Ivory Coast, Skretting introduced a specialised feed solution for extensive and semi-intensive pond-based tilapia farming that nourishes both the fish and the pond ecosystem. Anna Hesby Nessa, 40, is our Global Product Manager for Fish Health. Her role sits at the intersection of R&D, customer interaction and product development. Recently, she travelled to Nairobi in Kenya for the official launch of Skretting and Tunga Nutrition’s newly-commissioned aquafeed facility. This milestone event marked the increase in production capacity from 24,000MT to 45,000MT, in a bid to support the region’s growing demand for high-quality fish feed.
