Short course and tutorial prices
When you register for the APS Global Physics Summit, you will also be given the opportunity to sign up for short courses and tutorials offered before the conference by APS units and focused on specific sub-fields of physics.
Short courses and tutorials include additional pricing that will be included in the total cost of your registration. Pricing varies between the short courses.

International attendee registration
Scientists living in less-resourced countries benefit from nearly a 90% registration discount to minimize the financial barrier to attendance.
Traveling to the United States often requires obtaining a visa. Once you register, APS will send a letter of invitation for a visa application. It is very important to plan far in advance and review:
Press registration
Complimentary registration is available for members of the media. Those eligible for press registration include:
- Staff journalists working for editorially independent news outlets
- Freelance science writers and editors
- Public information officers working for scientific institutions
- Students and postdocs enrolled in a science writing program
APS uses a one-time credentialing process to verify eligibility for press registration.

Photo release
APS will take photographs and video at the Global Physics Summit. By registering for the meeting and associated events, you agree to allow APS to use photo and/or video footage of you in APS-related publications, materials, websites, or promotions.
Cancellation policy
Cancellations must be received in writing by February 28, 2026. All cancellations will be assessed a $50 cancellation fee regardless of the reason for canceling. Please email the APS Registration Help Desk with questions.
