🤝 Meet our new Trade Fair Service Intern Doris! 🤩 Currently studying International Business at National Taiwan University (NTU), Doris has developed a strong passion for German culture and intercultural communication through years of learning the language. Having received a Goethe-Institute scholarship for a summer language camp in Germany, she continues to refine her skills with plans to study abroad. Eager to extend her classroom learning, Doris aims to build expertise in international trade and marketing while gaining deeper insights into the German market through hands-on experience in the Trade Fair Team. During her internship, Doris will assist with trade fair organization, invitation design, and social media content, while leveraging her visual design skills for promotional materials and providing on-site coordination for the German Pavilion and exhibitors. In her free time, Doris loves painting, traveling, and outdoor activities, always enjoying exploring vibrant cities and nature, where trying new things inspires fresh ideas and continuously pushes her boundaries.  🌿 We are very happy to have you on board. German Pavilion Gears Up for SEMICON Taiwan 2026! The German Trade Office Taipei recently participated in the SEMICON Taiwan 2026 Global Pavilion Press Conference, where our Chief Representative & Executive Director, Dr. Eva Langerbeck, represented Germany alongside international delegates from around the world. During the event, she also spoke with television and print media, highlighting Germany’s strengths in the semiconductor industry and the growing opportunities for German–Taiwan cooperation. Organized by the German Trade Office Taipei and Silicon Saxony, the German Pavilion will return to SEMICON Taiwan for the fifth consecutive year. This year, the pavilion will feature 20 German companies—an 11% increase compared to last year—while also expanding its exhibition space, reflecting the continued commitment of German companies to the Taiwanese market and the strong momentum of bilateral semiconductor collaboration. This year's SEMICON Taiwan Global Pavilion brings together 18 participating countries, setting a new record for international participation. Germany is proud to be one of the countries that has maintained a national pavilion for five consecutive editions. Building the Future of Smart Logistics🚀Another Milestone in German–Taiwan Cooperation Last week our Chief Representative and Executive Director Dr. Dr. Eva Langerbeck visited #Taoyuan for the opening of Taiwan Order’s new International Logistics Center. Order Group, Taiwan’s leading home furnishing brand, has invested over NT$3.3 billion to build the logistics complex in Taoyuan’s Shalun Industrial Park 🚚📦. Located near Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport, the facility serves as a key hub for efficient #logistics and distribution. It not only features smart manufacturing systems developed in collaboration with Germany’s HOMAG Group and Italy’s SCM Group but also advanced solar power generation and rainwater recycling systems, supporting the company’s commitment to green energy. 🌱 From Soybeans to Sustainability—A Hands-On Office Trip Sometimes the best ideas start outside the office. Last Friday (July 17), our team enjoyed a special Office Trip at Cooking & Living in the Tsutaya Bookstore at Songshan Station, where around 20 colleagues came together to explore the world of #sustainable food through a hands-on experience. From making fresh tofu from scratch to transforming it into a variety of delicious dishes, we experienced the journey from ingredient to table firsthand. Along the way, we learned more about the farm-to-table philosophy, sustainable food choices, and how every step in the food chain can make a difference. ☕ We also joined a coffee tasting workshop, where we discovered how to identify different aromas, flavors, acidity, and body—showing us that every cup tells a story about its origin, production methods, and local culture. As the German Trade Office Taipei, we regularly work with companies across the food, agriculture, and consumer sectors. Experiences like these help us better understand the growing importance of sustainability, quality, and responsible consumption—not only as global industry trends, but also as values we can apply in our everyday lives. A great team, great food, and plenty of new inspiration. 💬 Connecting Germany and Hsinchu for the Future    Yesterday the GTO visited #Hsinchu with representatives from two German companies, led by Chief Representative & Executive Director Dr. Eva Langerbeck, for an exchange with Hsinchu County Magistrate Yang Wen-ke. The meeting provided a valuable opportunity to discuss German investment in Taiwan, explore future cooperation, and gain deeper insights into Hsinchu’s vital role in Taiwan’s high-tech and semiconductor industries.    The participating company representatives included:    🔹 Albert Chen Managing Director, Business, SUSS MicroTec (Taiwan)   🔹 Andy Kao, Managing Director, Operations, SUSS MicroTec (Taiwan)   🔹 Henry Cai, General Manager, ZEISS Taiwan      🔍 Discussions focused on strengthening Hsinchu’s investment environment, including industrial land development, transportation and business infrastructure, as well as industry–academia collaboration to cultivate future high-tech talent. These efforts will further support Hsinchu’s industrial development while deepening German–Taiwanese cooperation in innovation and technology.    One highlight of the meeting was Magistrate Yang’s remark that the German Trade Office Taipei is the first foreign representative office in Taiwan to organize an official visit by German companies to the Hsinchu County Government. This reflects the strong commitment of German companies to Taiwan and their willingness to work closely with local partners for long-term development.    We sincerely thank Magistrate Yang, the Hsinchu County Government, and all participating company representatives for the constructive exchange. 👋 Meet our new Trade Fair Service Intern Luna! Luna is currently studying German Studies at Soochow University, with a minor in Political Science. Her academic focus lies in German culture, international affairs, and intercultural communication. With a strong interest in Germany and European affairs, Luna spent a year studying abroad in Münster, Germany, where she immersed herself in the local culture through language learning and cultural exchange. This experience gave her valuable international exposure and a deeper understanding of German society and culture. She continues to improve her German language skills and hopes to contribute to strengthening Germany–Taiwan relations through effective intercultural communication. During her internship, Luna will support the team in organizing trade fairs, creating social media content and event invitations, and assisting with on-site coordination for the German Pavilion and exhibitors. Outside of work, Luna enjoys photography, swimming and outdoor activities, and she loves exploring different cultures and embracing new challenges. 📸 🏊♀️ ⛰️ We are very happy to have you on board.
