The power of negativity…vs the power of positivity is key to everything My first thoughts would always be look how far this intelligent person can go to peak so early… let’s ask them how they achieved that?? Never when will you lose that!?? 🧠 The most important message I will share with everybody in Recruitment (after 26 years in this industry) Is this…. “your environment can absolutely shape and change your success” The people you surround yourself with will either raise your standards or lower them. In recruitment, talent matters. Hard work matters. But your environment matters just as much. If you’re surrounded by people who complain, make excuses, accept average performance or tell you to lower your expectations, sooner or later you’ll begin to believe that “good enough” is enough. It isn’t.!!!!! If your role, your team or your company is only 90% right, that missing 10% will often be the difference between an average career and an exceptional one. Between below target and smashing it out the park The best recruiters don’t settle. They surround themselves with people who challenge them, celebrate success, share knowledge, push each other to improve and expect excellence every single day. Success is contagious. So is mediocrity. Ask yourself: * Are the people around me making me better? * Do they inspire me to grow? * Do they celebrate ambition instead of criticising it? * Am I becoming the very best version of myself? If the answer is no, don’t be afraid to make a change. The right environment won’t just change your performance—it will change your confidence, your mindset, your earnings, your opportunities and ultimately your future. Life is too short to settle for “almost right.” Choose the people who make you think bigger. Choose the company that believes in your potential. Choose growth over comfort.
