It's World Environment Day — a reminder of why we're building Electrogenos. Heavy industry accounts for some of the world's hardest-to-abate emissions. Green hydrogen can help decarbonise sectors like steel, chemicals, and shipping — but only if it becomes affordable enough to scale. That is what Electrogenos was built for. Happy World Environment Day 🌍 Let’s build a sustainable future together! #WorldEnvironmentDay #GreenHydrogen #IndustrialDecarbonisation #ClimateTech #EnergyTransition #NowForClimate

Honoured to have been named one of the winners of the Startup Pitch Competition at Make it in the Emirates 2026 in the UAE 🇦🇪. Our CEO, Alfredo Saenger, had the privilege of pitching our work in front of investors, industry leaders, and the UAE Ministry of Industry & Advanced Technology | وزارة الصناعة والتكنولوجيا المتقدمة. A big thank you to the organisers, judges, and everyone supporting the future of #advanced #manufacturing and #clean #energy innovation in the UAE⚡️🚀.
The Startup Pitch Competition returned this week at Make it in the Emirates 2026, drawing entrepreneurs to showcase emerging industrial technologies in front of investors and industry leaders. The contest was organized by the UAE Ministry of Industry & Advanced Technology | وزارة الصناعة والتكنولوجيا المتقدمة, and was open to both international and local startups. AC3D, Electrogenos Magan Ltd, and WAVERITY were named winners on Wednesday. The competition welcomed startups working in five priority sectors: electric mobility and batteries, autonomous systems and drones, industrial robotics, digital twins and smart manufacturing, and industrial cybersecurity. Our team just got bigger, wiser, and more capable! ⚙️💡 We’re thrilled to welcome Carlos Bernuy-Lopez as Head of Technical Growth at Electrogenos. Carlos brings impressive experience in engineering, hydrogen, and Power-to-X, and will play a key role in helping customers and strategic stakeholders understand how our technology can support more efficient, cost-effective green hydrogen projects. His expertise will be invaluable as we continue scaling our technical capabilities and bringing our high-performance electrolyser technology closer to market. We couldn’t be more excited to have him on board! ⚡
I am very excited to announce that, starting this month, I will be joining Electrogenos as their new Head of Technical Growth. This position will be based in Spain, so I am also very happy to be returning to my home country after all these years working abroad. If you haven’t heard about Electrogenos, let me share a few words about us. 🙂 Electrogenos is a start-up with proprietary technology to manufacture highly efficient and cost-effective electrolysers. Our aim in the coming years is to help revolutionise the green hydrogen market by enabling very low LCOH (3 €/kg), thanks to a technology with both low CAPEX and OPEX. No PGM elements involved, just smart science and engineering. My role at Electrogenos will be to demonstrate to all our stakeholders that we are not just another “bluff,” but that our developments are supported by solid data. While we are currently at the kW scale, we have the ambition to demonstrate the technology at the MW scale in the coming years and bring products to market by the end of this decade. In the coming weeks, I will be very happy to schedule introductory meetings with anyone interested in learning more about our technology. Finally, I would like to take this opportunity to thank my colleagues at Ramboll, who, over the past more than three years, have shown me the importance of having strong engineering alongside good science, both essential to making all of this happen. I am sure our paths will cross again, with new opportunities to push forward Power-to-X.

What an incredible experience pitching at Web Summit as part of the KPMG #GlobalTechInnovator. It was a great opportunity to share what we are building at Electrogenos and to showcase where #GreenHydrogen is heading with breakthrough technologies. We are committed to breaking old misconceptions in the sector and showing how production enables the foundation of the entire hydrogen value chain. Thank you to Lindsay Hull and Hazel Panter for being the MVPs throughout the week, and to Conor Moore for leading such a strong team. Grateful as well to the KPMG Lower Gulf partnership and to Anurag Bajpai for the continued support. The judges Eugene Malobrodsky, Carolin Wais, Emily Fontaine and Eoin Duane had a difficult job this year. Huge congratulations to the Japanese team Rhinoflux Inc. for taking the title — and since we do need #CheapGreenElectricity for our hydrogen production systems, I’m happily taking this as a win too 😊 Web Summit was intense, energising and full of meaningful conversations about the future of climate and deep tech. We leave with new ideas, strong connections and even more drive to push Electrogenos technology forward. Onwards. 🌍⚡
