Permutive is headed to the Beet Retreat Berkshires from July 27-29 with Beet.TV! You can catch us on stage in one of two ways: 1. Our CEO and Co-founder Joe Root will participate in a fireside chat with Zach Rodgers, Principal at Sensical Consulting, on "How AI is Rewriting the Relationship Between Agencies and Publishers in Real Time," which dives into how the tech is influencing the way media is bought, measured and valued. 2. Our CMO Dave Rosner will also participate in the panel "Identity, Data and the Power Shift," in which participants will explore how advertisers, publishers and platform partners can build a more efficient, addressable marketplace powered by first-party data and richer supply-side signals. Full agenda and registration here: https://lnkd.in/ewhG-SSV

The industry conversation at Cannes has been dominated by buy-side and sell-side AI agents. But according to Dave Rosner, CMO at Permutive that's not where publishers are actually winning. The real advantage is AI that makes publishers better at what they already do — identifying direct buy opportunities, responding to RFPs, and delivering for clients. The results speak for themselves: — RFP response times cut from days to hours — 40–50% improvements in client delivery — Hundreds of millions of dollars already impacted The industry has been staring at a small corner of what AI can do. The next six months will shift that conversation entirely. #AdExchanger #Publishers #CannesLions

We are thrilled to announce the appointment of former Experian Marketing Services President Genevieve Juillard to our Board of Directors. She will provide a macro industry POV on the overarching data strategy and architecture within agencies and brands, advising Permutive leadership on how its leading supply-side data and tech can support advertisers' short- and long-term goals. “Permutive has both the technology required to help advertisers and the independence the buy side requires," she said. "Those factors, along with an unmatched volume of supply-side data, place the company in a unique position to serve advertisers and holding companies in this new agentic era.” https://lnkd.in/e7XfTVkB

We've just wrapped our latest quarterly executive team offsite, where we brought in additional voices to share ideas and insights from across the organization. We couldn't be more excited about the possibilities of consumer data and agentic to help drive performance for publishers and advertisers. More to come—let's go!

This week, our own Tala Mahdieh is at MAD//Fest London, where 15,000+ marketers have taken over the Old Truman Brewery for three days. This year's theme is "The Human Touch", a direct response to a moment when "AI slop" was named Word of the Year by the Macquarie Dictionary. But the festival isn't about rejecting AI. It's about using it better: leaning on data and new tools to unlock ideas rather than replace them, and creating work that's culturally relevant, emotionally resonant and distinctly human. That’s a tension we think about a lot. The best outcomes come from technology that amplifies human judgment, not automation that flattens it.

Since I'll be off next week, I wanted to offer my annual post-Cannes appreciation post a little early. I'll start with the takeaways: Everyone is in build mode. This tech revolution we're in seems to have awakened the huddled masses of erstwhile coders. I can't tell you how many demos I saw this week from excited founders and CEO's. I'm here for it, but it seems like it is going to take a few cycles to figure out what parts of this will have staying power. I also had really substantive and encouraging conversations with leaders in the pharma marketing space. I predict the way we market pharmaceutical treatments will change more in the next three years than it has in the last 30. That will mean better HCP and patient experiences with less waste and clearer value exchanges. It was so great to hang out with my friends and colleagues - Kimberly Jones, Amanda DeVito, MBA, and Manny Puentes. I'm so proud to be growing this business alongside you. Ok - company tags here and people tags in the comments. Big thanks to my friends at Experian, PulsePoint, PubMatic, Spectrum Reach, Index Exchange, Unity, Google, ID5.io, Permutive, Horizon Media, CROSSMEDIA, IQVIA, Criteo, Spaceback, Roku, Smartly, LG Ad Solutions, DoubleVerify, Mediavine, Philo, Equativ, OpenX, inPowered AI, Sertify, Infillion, Paramount, StackAdapt, Kargo, iHeartMedia, and C Wire. Oh, and, yes, I met Doc Rivers, and he was great. Go Knicks!

Cannes you believe it's all over? What a great week it's been. We started things off with Permutive to host breakfast an illuminating panel on addressability and AI. Thank you again to our panellists and attendees. Next up, ID5's CEO, Mathieu Roche, joined AI x Tech Sandbox to answer the question everyone's thinking - what comes after Liveramp? In between all that, our team hosted more meetings than we thought were physically possible and somehow squeezed in time for Spotify concerts, wine tastings with Carmelo Anthony (yes - the NBA Hall of Famer), DJ sets with Sporty Spice, and a few yacht parties. Au revoir until next year, Cannes - a good time was had! This year at Cannes was different. More people, more deal focused and more heat. Everyone is saying it but it bears repeating, the magic of Cannes is how darn social it is. Your days starts filled with meetings and events, and then the serendipity begins. That might be the best part; running into old friends and making a few new ones.
