Today marks an important milestone for Southern Co-op. Following approval by our members in May, the legal Transfer of Engagements to Siena Co-operative Limited has now completed. Siena Co-operative now operates as a subsidiary of Co-op Group with the two co-operatives continuing to operate separately while the Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) considers the proposed merger. While this is an important step in our journey towards fully joining forces with Co-op Group, it's very much business as usual. Southern Co-op food stores and funeral homes continue to operate as normal with no immediate changes for our members, customers, colleagues or communities. We'll continue to share updates as the process progresses.

We’ve published our first-ever Supplier Gender Pay Gap Analysis in partnership with Weave Analytics - Supply Chain DE&I. This is the first report of its kind in the grocery sector and brings together gender pay gap data from both our direct and indirect supply chain, helping build a clearer picture of progress and the challenges that remain. As expectations shift from reporting to action, transparency is a key step towards meaningful change. We believe co-operation leads to greater impact, and we're committed to working alongside our suppliers to help close the gender pay gap in a way that is collaborative, practical and sustainable. This was our annual conference and Co-op Difference Awards celebration for our Goods Not For Resale partners. As a co-operative, our approach goes beyond working with suppliers; we grow together. By sharing ideas and recognising success, we harness the power of partnership to build stronger, more sustainable and inclusive supply chains, always with our customers and members in mind.
