Last month the DeVries lab group attended the American Dairy Science Association (ADSA) Annual Meeting in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Graduate students presented eight research posters showcasing a wide range of dairy science research, including heat stress, transition cow health, extended lactation, feeding behaviour, and training cows to use automated milking systems. Great work by all!

Thankful for my time on the leadership team of the American Dairy Science Association. A month ago, my time involved in ADSA leadership finally ended. Spending time overseeing our annual meeting, being on the board, and serving as president was incredibly rewarding. I am proud of our work to help dairy scientists from all over the world as they discover, apply, and disseminate best practices for producing milk and making healthy dairy products for people. It was one of the highlights of my career to have this opportunity. If you are also a dairy scientist, I encourage you to find ways to get involved in ADSA!
