Operating Partner Gary Survis spent time in Tel Aviv last week meeting with Israeli tech founders, CMOs, and the general managers of Google Cloud, Microsoft, and AWS Israel. Across five initiatives, they reached 250+ people and had many conversations about where AI is actually taking enterprise software. From Survis' closing keynote at the MAD Conference to a fireside chat on AI transformation at the Google TLV offices, to a CMO event drawing 200+ of Israel's top marketing leaders, the trip was a chance to bring Insight's AI expertise directly to the Israeli startup ecosystem — one we've been investing in since the early 2000s. It was also good to catch up with portfolio companies like Island, Pentera, Reco, Optibus, and Bizzabo along the way!

Congratulations to Spur Intelligence on securing a $200 million dollar investment from Insight Partners! This investment reflects Insight’s overall confidence in the IP Intelligence market, Spur’s leadership position, and its best-in-class product portfolio. Managing Director Thomas Krane said of the investment: "We’re in the middle of a massive shift in fraud prevention. As sophisticated criminal VPNs, residential proxy networks, and anonymization infrastructure proliferate, organizations are increasingly operating with a critical blind spot: they can see the activity, but not the infrastructure behind it. Spur is uniquely positioned to solve that problem. The company has built one of the most comprehensive and actionable intelligence layers for understanding the true origin of internet traffic, giving security and fraud teams the visibility they need to make faster, more confident decisions. We're excited to partner with Spur as they define and lead this rapidly growing category.” Read more here: https://lnkd.in/gn2NKZYG

Congratulations to the DataBahn team on closing their $40M Series B funding round, bringing the company's total funding to $59M. Managing Director Max Wolff said of the deal: "The next generation of enterprise infrastructure won't be defined by where data is stored, but by how intelligently it can be orchestrated for AI. DataBahn is building that layer, and enterprise leaders across industries describe DataBahn as foundational to their future security architecture. We look forward to supporting the team through this next stage of growth." Read more: https://lnkd.in/ewDDdiuh

Congratulations to modus on emerging from stealth with a $10 million seed round led by Insight Partners. Managing Director Ganesh Bell said of the news "Every major wave of enterprise software has required a new foundation. Data warehouses became foundational infrastructure for enterprise data. As AI becomes production infrastructure, organizations need a system of understanding that every agent and application can build on. We believe Modus is defining that category with the Context Warehouse.” Read more in Axios: https://lnkd.in/dT5jnPB3
Here we go! It’s finally here - Modus is now officially out of stealth after raising a $10M seed round, led by Insight Partners. Companies build agents with access to every data silo - their data warehouse, dashboards in BI tools, documents, tickets, code repositories, and collaboration systems. But what those agents lack is the ability to make sense of all that data.. Modus built what organizations desperately need in order to scale with AI - a System of Understanding. A Context Warehouse for enterprise AI that learns how your business works and gives your agents the context they need to perform. This is the infrastructure companies need to build their own company brain Founded by Daniel Shimoni and Tomer Mesika, we’re backed by Insight Partners and their extraordinary team, alongside amazing other investors. The FDE model is quickly gaining ground across enterprise software, and the results are starting to speak for themselves. As more companies stand up forward-deployed motions, the questions are getting more practical: What does a high-impact engagement actually look like, what separates the teams delivering in 12 weeks from the ones that stall, and how do you make sure every build compounds back into the product? Led by Managing Director Ganesh Bell, and joined by Srikrishnan Ganesan (Rocketlane), Shailesh Ratadia (ServiceNow), Jon Perry (nCino), and Panos Michelakis (Wonderful), the session looked at the craft and operating rhythm of running FDE engagements in the field. Here are the themes that landed: • The job is managing ambiguity at every level. One day, you're writing code. The next time you're coordinating stakeholders across departments that have never talked to each other. • Time-boxing is what makes the motion work. The best teams commit to a production outcome in 12 weeks or less, not a POC, not a demo, something running in production with a clear dollar value attached. • The product feedback loop is the multiplier. Customer builds should either generalize into the platform or surface a gap worth solving. Teams that skip this step drift into expensive services work with no compounding return. • Define your qualification criteria before you scale. FDE teams without clear entry criteria end up becoming everything for everyone, which ultimately serves no one. When done well, the FDE motion generates compounding returns, such as faster time to value for customers, stronger product roadmaps, and a durable wedge into the labor budget. Attackers are exploiting vulnerabilities before most security teams even know they exist. The window to respond has gone from weeks to hours — now it's effectively zero. We're taking that question to Black Hat in Las Vegas next week, where the future of cybersecurity is taking shape. Managing Director Thomas Krane and Vice President William Blackwell published their latest thinking on the Next Stack and the future of cybersecurity. Their thesis: Cybersecurity will follow the broader AI trajectory as model capabilities reach the point where they can independently complete a full day of human work, and as the focus of AI advancement shifts from software to labor. Their piece maps out what that future security stack looks like, how the role of security teams is changing, and which products and workflows are most at risk of disruption. One CISO put it this way: "The opportunity is to transform from a manager of a set of tools, to a manager of agents. Otherwise, you're looking for another job." Congratulations to the team at Mate on a successful $35M Series A funding round. This comes only eight months after the company launched from stealth and brings Mate’s total funding to over $50M. Insight Partners Managing Director Teddie Wardi said of the news: “Security operations was not built for the speed or scale of modern AI-driven attacks. Mate is doing something few security companies have managed: combining genuine AI depth with operational trust to rebuild security operations for the AI era. We are proud to support a team that consistently outexecutes.” Read the full announcement: https://lnkd.in/e3s9HV65
8 months out of stealth. Multiple enterprise customers. Over $50M in funding! We built the open foundation for agentic security operations. The signal from the market is clear, demand continues to outpace our expectations, leading us to raise our revenue and growth targets three times this year. Today, just 8 months after coming out of stealth, we're announcing our Series A to help us meet that demand. This milestone validates the principles we bet on from day one: Context is the foundation. Trust has to be built in. Building open is harder - but it's vital to enable our customers to escape vendor lock-in. Thank you, Insight Partners and Team8 for believing in us again. Welcome, Canaan and M12, Microsoft's Venture Fund! And thank you, Mate Team - you got us here ❤️ For the first time in our lives, we are witnessing a SOC that can handle everything in its queue and cover its ground. Defenders are finally moving faster than attackers.

Today, Way Security steps out of stealth. We're proud to co-lead their $20M seed round, backing cofounders Yossi Barishev and Yonatan Rosenberg in rebuilding the foundation of enterprise identity. Most IAM infrastructure is 20 to 30 years old. Organizations are layering AI on top of something that was never built to hold. Way Security is fixing what's underneath. We sat down with Barishev to understand how he's thinking about identity in the AI age and why the industry accepted IAM's limitations for too long. Read the full piece: https://lnkd.in/e5KCFnrm

Congrats to Assured cofounders Varun Krishnamurthy and Rahul Shivkumar on raising $19M, a round we were proud to lead. Krishnamurthy and Shivkumar started with credentialing because it is one of the hardest problems in provider operations. Verifying a clinician's credentials, licenses, and payer enrollments can take two to four months — costing healthcare organizations hundreds of thousands of dollars per provider and keeping patients waiting. Doing credentialing well means building one of the most complete pictures of a provider anywhere. That data is what makes Assured capable of solving the rest of a customer's back office. Customers want a partner who solves many of their problems, not another point solution. Assured is processing tens of thousands of enrollments, working with more than 100 customers, and growing 30% month over month. What does a forward deployed engineer actually do all day? Part 3 of our FDE series goes inside four teams to find the operating rhythm that separates a real FDE practice from professional services with a new name. Some of the most successful teams time-box everything. As nCino's Jon Perry put it: "If we can do it quickly, it demonstrates to our customers that they can do it quickly as well." By Insight Onsite's Santosh Iyer and Samma Hafeez, featuring Srikrishnan Ganesan at Rocketlane, Shailesh Ratadia at ServiceNow, Jon Perry at nCino, and Panos Michelakis at Wonderful, moderated by Managing Director Ganesh Bell.
