This morning, we helped welcome thousands of RAGBRAI riders to City of Gilbert, as the community hosted the morning stop. It was a privilege to serve alongside local friends and volunteers celebrating everything that makes Gilbert such a special place! Seeing the American flag over Gilbert Intermediate School, where renovations are currently underway, was a fitting reminder of why we do what we do—creating spaces that strengthen communities for generations. Our very own Curt Gear, Business Development Manager, recently attended the Greater Des Moines Partnership 47th annual DMDC (Washington, D.C.) Trip, joining more than 175 business and community leaders from across Iowa to advocate for priorities that strengthen our communities—including infrastructure, workforce development, housing, childcare, and economic growth. As a first-time attendee, Curt was impressed by the energy, organization, and opportunities to engage with municipal leaders, economic development professionals, industry partners, and Iowa's Congressional Delegation. Throughout the three-day event, he connected with community leaders from Ankeny, Urbandale, and Norwalk, along with partners from across the AEC industry, discussing everything from community development and infrastructure to water quality and future collaboration. The trip included policy briefings, a Congressional Delegation Breakfast at the Russell Senate Office Building, Capitol Hill meetings, networking events, and the One Partnership Celebration. ⛳ Fairways, friendships, and forecast-defying sunshine. ☀️ We hit Terrace Hills Golf Course for the National Association of Women In Construction Greater Des Moines Golf Outing and had an absolute blast! We may not all be ready for the PGA TOUR, but between our two foursomes, we had plenty of talent, laughs, and winning company on the course.
