The Role

  • Administer and maintain Kafka platforms, both on-premise and in the cloud.
  • Develop new services and enhancements for platform capabilities.
  • Provide solution engineering and develop Proofs-of-Concept.
  • Lead the evaluation, design, and integration of system enhancements or new releases.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve server, operating system, and other infrastructure problems.
  • Coach junior team members and perform code reviews.

What You'll Need

  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative or business field such as statistics, mathematics, engineering, or computer science.
  • 4-6 years of related experience in systems engineering.
  • Strong experience with Apache Kafka administration and AWS.
  • Familiarity with Event-Driven Architecture and Event Streaming.
  • Knowledge of DevOps and CI/CD principles.
  • Experience with monitoring, alerting, and logging tools (e.g., Dynatrace, Splunk).
