🇸🇮 A list is only as strong as the method behind it. #Future100Slovenia is not a popularity contest and not a ranking of who is already big. It is a systematic, data-backed identification of the Slovenian companies with the highest potential for growth and global competitiveness, built on a transparent methodology that allows companies to be evaluated on comparable terms. 970+ companies screened. 7 dimensions. 19 indicators. On 31 August at the #Future500Forum in Bled, that methodology goes public for the first time tested live, in front of the room, against real companies and real capital. Two voices will start this session: 📍 Peter Wostner (UMAR) and Jovan Pavićević (Better) open the reveal by putting the methodology itself on the table, how the companies were identified, what the data shows, and why the result stands up to scrutiny. The reveal is in Bled. The ambition is European. #Future500Forum - 31 August 2026, IEDC - Bled School of Management-Bled School of Management #Future500 #Future100Slovenia #Scaleups #Innovation #Entrepreneurship

For many science students, the academic path is the only path they're ever shown. The Upstate Biotech Summit was created to introduce students to another possibility: entrepreneurship. As Alex explains, researchers and innovators are constantly solving problems. This event helps students learn how those solutions can become businesses, products, and opportunities that create real-world impact. With support from Springboard, the summit connected students with entrepreneurs, mentors, and industry leaders who are helping grow Western New York's innovation ecosystem. Sometimes all it takes is seeing a different path.

⚡As part of the Momentum Incubator programme, run by Sussex Innovation, students and recent graduates have spent the past year developing their skills and ventures - culminating in a pitching and awards day where £24,000 of funding was allocated. Ventures from this year’s programme have included a food waste logistics company, sustainability-focussed communications agency, and an events platform for jazz afficionados. At the pitching and awards day, Nigel Lambe (CEO, Sussex Innovation) noted there was an extremely high standard across the finalists’ pitches. The judges “picked the winners based on where we felt that the money would have the greatest direct impact on helping them to grow,” said Nigel. “For those who didn’t win a prize, don’t let it be the end of your journey. Entrepreneurs always keep going, and don’t wait for someone else to give them permission.” 📰 Read the full story: https://lnkd.in/enE7EGgw Article by Joseph Bradfield, Sussex Innovation. #careersandentrepreneurship #sussexuni #heysussex #sussexgrad #entrepreneurship #sussexinnovation #socialimpact #sustainability #innovation

It was great to have Ifeanyichukwu Ezinmadu facilitate a workshop on Innovation, as part of our Glasgow Riverside Innovation District Invest Innovate Summer School, using his own journey as a practical example to inspire founders. The founders explored the building blocks of an investable business, including: • Defining genuine innovation • Understanding customer pain points • Research & development (R&D) • Scalability and growth planning • Pricing and recurring revenue models • Building credibility with investors • Developing strong pitches and investment readiness One message stood out throughout the session: great businesses don’t start with solutions they start with deeply understanding the problem. It was encouraging to see founders refining their ideas and taking practical steps towards building sustainable, scalable ventures. One of the highlights of the 10th EuChemS Chemistry Congress (ECC10) was visiting BlueChem and BlueApp. It was inspiring to learn how these innovation hubs support researchers, entrepreneurs, and startups in transforming scientific ideas into sustainable technologies and real-world impact. Meeting the people behind these initiatives and hearing about their journeys made the experience especially valuable. A sincere thank you to the EuChemS 2026 organizers for making this visit possible and for creating such meaningful opportunities to connect research, innovation, and entrepreneurship.

How do you protect your idea? How do you take the first steps towards entrepreneurship? And how do you bring a technology closer to industry? Together, we explored these questions through real stories by Creaflow, Fairbrics and Bloom Biotech. The visit concluded with a tour of BlueApp's pilot hall. Most of all, it was great to connect with researchers who are considering taking the leap into entrepreneurship.⚡ #AntwerpInnovationPowerhouse Antwerp Convention Bureau Business in Antwerp
