🫀 How do you 3D print realistic human tissue? Anatomical models aren't just rigid plastics anymore. To truly assist a clinician in practicing a complex procedure, a model needs to replicate the exact tactile feedback of human tissue. By utilising highly specialised silicone, MedScan3D can mimic everything from internal vascular systems to distinct layers of muscle, fat, and hard calcifications. Jacqui O' Connor joins us to discuss how they match specific anatomical realism and why advancing these models into complete, realistic bodily systems is crucial for medical device testing and clinical training. 💬 Catch the full discussion with the 2026 Med-Tech Expo pitch competition winner in the comments! #MedTech #MedicalDevices #BiomedicalEngineering #SimulationTraining #MedTechExpo

When industry giants hit the regulatory news, the details usually tell a much bigger story about where digital dentistry is heading. ⚖️ Align Technology just issued an official response to a European Commission investigation. The probe, triggered by a competitor’s complaint, questions the scan acceptance policies surrounding the iTero platform. In their defense, Align stated iTero is an "open and diverse digital ecosystem," noting that scans can be freely exported for alternative, non-Invisalign aligners. For labs and clinics, this dispute spotlights a massive talking point: the reality of "open systems" vs. closed networks. True workflow freedom means your files, software, and milling burs shouldn't be locked inside a single manufacturer’s wall. That’s precisely why we design SINCEN burs to stay fully compatible across 25+ major milling systems — ensuring your production never has to wait on anyone else's gatekeeping. ⚙️ How much weight do you place on complete system openness when choosing new equipment? Let's discuss below! 👇 ☕ | Technical Insights for Modern Labs. #DentalIndustry #CADCAM #DigitalDentistry #AlignTechnology #iTero #OpenEcosystem #MillingBurs #DentalLab #SincenDental

Phrozen is making a deliberate move into the full dental workflow space, and the pricing is the real story. We spent close to a year testing the complete system, the CS+ printer, Wash+, Cure+, and Heat & Mix, across clinic and lab. On our estimates, the full bundle lands around $6,200 USD. That is approximately half the cost of a comparable Formlabs setup and around a quarter of a SprintRay Pro 2 ecosystem. These comparison figures are approximate and vary by region and configuration, so treat them as a guide rather than a quote. It also runs a fully open resin system, which matters for anyone wary of cartridge lock-in. The strengths are a clear build-quality improvement, dual chamber and vat heating that is uncommon in this price bracket, and a coherent post-processing chain. The trade-offs are equally clear. It is slower than its rivals at roughly 35 to 45 minutes for a full arch, there is no cloud platform or automated nesting, and the validated resin library, while expanding, is still limited. Our overall assessment is 3.5 out of 5. This is a value play, and evaluated on those terms it is a credible option for practices that cannot justify the larger ecosystems or do not need their full feature set. The question isn't which scanner should I buy? It's am I getting the most out of the scanner I already have? Every major intraoral scanner can produce excellent results. What makes the real difference is scan quality. Clear margins, accurate bite registration, and clean tissue management are what lead to predictable restorations and fewer remakes. Focus on technique first. The technology can only perform as well as the scan you capture. Ready to get more from your digital workflow? #DigitalDentistry #IntraoralScanner #DentalLab #CADCAM #Synergy3D

💬 I didn't think it was just a printer." That's Dr. Amr Elkhadem's first impression of Ceramix-Nano. Watch as Dr. Amr explains how Ceramix-Nano's integrated Print & Cure workflow, compact design, and oxygen-free curing capability can simplify chairside ceramic restorations, helping clinicians deliver permanent restorations in about 30 minutes.⏱️ Note: Resin compatible with this printer will be launched in phases across different regions, and the conformity assessment procedure under Regulation (EU) 2017/745 on medical devices (MDR) is currently in progress and is not yet CE marked. It's only for demonstration in the EU. #SHINING3DDental #CeramixNano #ChairsideDentistry #DigitalDentistry #Dental3DPrinting #Prosthodontics

⚕️🎯 What happens when a surgical implant doesn’t match the planned anatomy down to the smallest detail? In medical manufacturing, precision starts long before the operation. Every implant must be designed, validated and machined to exact specifications before it ever reaches the patient. That's why this titanium bone plate was CAD/CAM programmed and validated using a Digital Twin before machining even began. The DMP 35 then brings the virtual model to life through 5-axis simultaneous machining, achieving a surface finish of Ra 0.6 μm for demanding medical applications. 💡 Does your shop use digital twins for medical machining? Let’s discuss in the comments! #dmgmori #dmgmorinews #precisionengineering #medicalequipment #dmp35 #5axismachining
