A CGIAR #ScalingFund Masterclass was held today! This was a 1.5-hr introduction for the eight 2026 winning innovation teams of the CGIAR #ScalingFund. Leaders of the 8 winning innovations were introduced to CGIAR's #scaling framework and protocols that they will work through with scaling experts over the next months. The aim? To take these 8 agricultural innovations to scale in countries of the Global South. With this masterclass today, the third year of this annual #ScalingFund gets underway. Next week, the 8 winning innovations of last year's Scaling Fund will present their achievements and learnings in a Share Fair. So as one year's #ScalingFund ends, another one begins . . . . 🌍 Could your ideas, experience or perspective help shape CGIAR Scaling Week 2026? Announcing the 𝙁𝙪𝙩𝙪𝙧𝙚 𝙄𝙢𝙥𝙖𝙘𝙩 𝙎𝙘𝙖𝙡𝙚𝙧𝙨 𝘼𝙬𝙖𝙧𝙙. We want to hear from partners and students whose voices and skills can elevate the CGIAR Scaling Week 2026 experience—but for whom cost or distance might otherwise be a barrier. This is a contribution exchange, not a ticket giveaway. Selected contributors will lead a session or take on a defined role during the week. In return, we will waive the participation fee and, where needed, provide travel support. Two contributor tracks are available: 🤝 Session Partners: 70 places for people from non-CGIAR Global South organizations. We particularly want to hear from farmer organizations, civil society, indigenous and community organizations, and others bringing practical experience and perspectives that are too often missing from international events. 🎓 Students: 30 places for Global South students Priority will go to applicants who: 🟣 Could not participate without financial support 🟣 Bring an underrepresented perspective 🟣 Offer a strong and clearly defined contribution 🟣 Increase the geographic diversity of the program 🟣 Have no institutional source of funding. How do we move promising agricultural innovations beyond pilots—and ensure they reach the farmers who need them most? AIM for Scale and the CGIAR Scaling for Impact Program have launched a new partnership to connect evidence-backed science with government systems, finance, markets and last-mile delivery. With support from the International Affairs Office at the UAE Presidential Court and the Gates Foundation, the partnership will focus not simply on increasing reach, but on ensuring farmers can access, trust, use and benefit from innovations—while building the institutions and partnerships needed to sustain impact. The partnership was formally launched during last week’s AIM for Scale and CGIAR – Partnering to Deliver Impact at Scale webinar, which brought together leaders from research, government, philanthropy and implementation to explore what it takes to move agricultural innovations from pilots to national scale.
