In whatever situation a man living in a society, there is some kind of thought flowing over him. Although man is at the center of the social entity, he receives ideological lessons from childhood. After becoming wise, this sociable human follows some particular ideological system or goes ahead to represent it on the stage. Food, clothing and shelter are the means of material survival in any society, while different schools of thought form the ideological meeting of people. While thinking about literature and society, a bridge is created between literature and society.On this bridge, a social man is sometimes seen as zealous towards the nation through nationalist literature, sometimes as a Marxist who fights for his economic rights, and sometimes as a historian who proves historical principles through historical facts! Ultimately, man appears to be a social animal who gains scientific vision through the conflict between science and religion.

This article traces the origin, evolution, and development of children's literature. It examines literary works written by adults for children as well as those created by children themselves. The study highlights the distinctive features, growth, and significance of children's literature in nurturing imagination, creativity, and intellectual development among young readers.

The language of the research Marathi is a morphologically rich language that does not have dedicated research in Grammatical Error Correction (GEC) although other languages have made significant progress in NLP. The reason of this gap can be mainly explained by the impossibility of publicly available datasets and benchmarks of Marathi GEC. To fill this gap, we have done the extensive review of Marathi NLP literature, comparing datasets and language models as well as language issues. We also examined GEC projects in other languages to determine effective methodology and state-of-the-art models that can be used in the Marathi. Through these observations, we have built a high-quality dataset of incorrect-correct sentence pairs in a systematic way, and we were initially interested in basic Subject-Object-Verb (SOV) types of sentences. To assess how well three transformer-based models, IndicBART, Marathi-T5, and Varta-T5 perform in Marathi GEC, we optimized them on this dataset. The performance analysis based on the BLEU measure shows that IndicBART and Varta-T5 are much higher than Marathi-T5 with a BLEU score of 0.98. Moreover, both models are characterized by the high precision and recall, which means that they are accurate on detecting and correcting grammatical mistakes of the predetermined scope of the dataset. This study will give Marathi GEC a basis that will not only offer a benchmark set, but also a robust one at that. Baseline models, which are a part of further elaboration of Marathi NLP applications.

This research paper examines the contributions of the Dakshina Prize Committee in facilitating colonial objectives through Marathi translations of European plays during the British imperial period. The Committee, tasked with evaluating translations and awarding prizes, became a driving force in this literary and cultural endeavour. A significant early example of its influence is Tara Natak, a Marathi translation of Shakespeare's Cymbeline, rendered by Vishnu Moreshwar Mahajani. The financial incentives offered by the Dakshina Prize led to a surge in drama translations that disseminated European literary traditions and ideologies within the colonial framework. The mid to late nineteenth century is often referred to by Marathi historiographers as the 'Bhashantar Yug' (Translation Age), 'Rupantar Yug' (Adaptation Age), or the 'Shakespeare ani Molière Yug' (Shakespeare and Molière Age). However, these historians often overlook the significant role played by the Dakshina Prize Committee therefore, it would be valuable to map the milestones of comparative literature, trace the trajectory of translation theory in colonial Marathi theatre, and study translation as a form of cultural contact while also examining the colonial ambitions that shaped these efforts.

समकालीन ग्रामीण कौटुंबिक अस्थिरता’ या विषयात आजच्या ग्रामीण समाजात कुटुंबात घडणारे बदल समजतात. पूर्वी ग्रामीण कुटुंब एकत्र राहणारे, परंपरा जपणारे आणि परस्परांना मदत करणारे असे होते. पण आता काळ बदलल्यामुळे कुटुंबात अनेक समस्या दिसतात. पती-पत्नीचे वाद, वारसा व जमिनीवरून भांडणं, व्यसनाधीनता, महिलांवरील हिंसा यामुळे घरातील शांतता हरवली आहे. मुलांच्या शिक्षणाचा खर्च, विवाहातील दिखाऊपणा, तसेच शेतमालाला मिळणारा कमी दर यामुळे कुटुंब आर्थिक संकटात सापडते. उत्पन्न कमी आणि खर्च जास्त झाल्यामुळे अनेकांना कर्ज काढावे लागते. या तणावामुळे घरात भांडणं, मानसिक त्रास, आत्महत्या आणि पिढ्यांमधील संघर्ष वाढतो. आजचे युवक शहरातील जीवनशैलीकडे वळतात, तर जुन्या पिढीला परंपरा महत्त्वाच्या वाटतात. पारंपारिक शेती व्यवसायाबाबत आजच्या तरुणांची वाढलेली उदासीनता दिसून येतो. कुटुंबातील इतर सदस्य आणि तरुण यांच्यातील विचारातील संघर्षात वाढ होताना दिसून येते.  त्यामुळे कुटुंबात दुरावा वाढतो. या समस्यांवर मात करण्यासाठी शिक्षण, व्यसनमुक्ती, महिलांचे सक्षमीकरण, रोजगाराच्या संधी, समुपदेशन आणि सामाजिक ऐक्य या गोष्टींची आवश्यकता आहे.

The article discusses a morphological analysis of verb patterns in Saraiki, an under-resourced yet significant Northwestern Indo-Aryan language. This study is important because understanding Saraiki's verbal morphology not only helps fill a crucial gap in linguistic study but also provides the basis for developing language technology for millions of its speakers. The study aims to investigate the formal and functional characteristics of Saraiki verbs to support language classification and morphological theory. It relies on a dataset of 552 verb tokens manually annotated and coded from a specially compiled, multi-genre corpus. The quantitative analysis distinguishes 40 morphological patterns and shows that more than 81% of the verbs are inflectional. The data reveal a Zipfian distribution, with a few highly productive core suffixes at the head of a long tail of low-frequency forms, and both inflectional and derivational complexities are evident. The suffix ‫وݨ-‬ /-w-ṉ/ is highlighted among the others for its polyfunctionality, serving as both the derivational causative and the inflectional purposive participle, thereby questioning the traditional binary classification of inflection and derivation in morphology. The study also reports a diachronic change, the neutralization of gender agreement in plurals, which signals the process of morphological simplification as one of the characteristics of the language. The implications of these findings are significant, as they provide the linguistic community with extensive empirical data on Saraiki verbal morphology and are thus valuable for the development of natural language processing applications.

The main objective of this paper is to study the battle of Salher and its effects on the Maratha-Mughal army, the importance of Salher from the perspective of the Marathas and Mughals, and the use of principles of war by Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. At the same time, the information related to the Salher War in the then historical instruments, the difference in the war style of Marathas and Mughals, what kind of antiquities can be found if the fort is preserved and excavated through conservation has also been discussed through this research paper.

On December 28, 1774, on the occasion of helping Raghobadada, the British conquered the fort of Thane. In 1778, Subhedar Wada was converted into a court. On December 31, 1802, the possession of Sashti Island was handed over to the British under the Treaty of Vasai between Bajirao Peshwa and the British. In the year 1803, the first District Court was established in Thane. At that time the Thane Court was called the Uttar Konkan Zilla Court. This court had jurisdiction to try civil cases. Apart from the tomb of Stephen Babington, who served as a judge of North Konkan in 1818, no other memorial can be seen in Thane. Stephen Babington was well-known among the citizens of Thane for his impartial judgment, good knowledge of local laws, conscientiousness, honesty, and moderation. However, in 1822, he died while rescuing citizens trapped in a fire in Wajuvali area of ​​Kasbe Thane. Stephen Babington was only 32 when he died. The name of the judge who risked his life for the citizens of Thane has gone into the oblivion of the citizens except academics.

The article in Marathi is meant to give a brief idea about the antiquity of Jainism in Maharashtra through an overview of important archaeological evidence to the commoners. It also stresses the need to raise awareness about heritages and bridge the gap between academia and the others. By giving a trajectory for future path of heritage protection and awareness, the article sums up with an optimistic undertone for the future.

२००० नंतरच्या मराठी साहित्यात स्त्रीच्या वेदनेचा स्पष्ट आणि प्रभावी आवाज उमटलेला दिसतो. या काळातील स्त्री लेखनातून स्त्रियांच्या वैयक्तिक अनुभवांना सामाजिक वास्तवाची जोड मिळते. कथा आणि कवितांमधून ग्रामीण, दलित आणि उपेक्षित स्त्रियांचे जीवन, त्यांचे कष्ट, शोषण आणि सहनशीलता मांडली गेली आहे. प्रतिमा इंगोले, ज्योती लांजेवार, मलिका अमरशेख, कविता महाजन आदी लेखिका-कवयित्रींनी स्त्रीच्या वेदनांसह तिचा विद्रोही आणि विचारशील चेहरा उलगडला आहे. तसेच सदानंद देशमुख यांच्या कथांमधून ग्रामीण स्त्रीचे वास्तववादी आणि संवेदनशील चित्रण आढळते. एकूणच हे साहित्य स्त्रीजीवनातील संघर्ष, आत्मसन्मान आणि सामाजिक जाणिवा ठळकपणे व्यक्त करते.

The Marāṭhā Kings ruled over Tañjāvūr from the late seventeenth century to the mid-nineteenth century, leaving a lasting impact on the region's culture and arts. They were not only patrons but also active practitioners of music, dance and literature. Their contributions included the creation of numerous dance dramas, treatises on music, and literary works, all of which enriched the heritage of Tañjāvūr. Many of these cultural artefacts have been preserved in manuscript form, and some edited and published by the Thanjavur Maharaja Serfoji's Sarasvati Mahal Library (TMSSML). One such publication by TMSSML is 'Kōrvyācē Sāhityācē Jinnas', edited by A Krishnaswamy Mahdick Rao Sahib in 1958 CE. This publication is a compilation of compositions composed by King Serfōji II, for dance presentations called as ‘Nirūpaṇa’. These 'Nirūpaṇa-s' encompass various South Indian dance forms (compositional types) set to South Indian rāga-s (melodic entity) and tāla-s (temporal framework), all composed in Marathi language. This paper endeavours to delve into the musical aspects of the forms in Nirūpaṇa of King Serfōji II, as documented in the book 'Kōrvyācē Sāhityācē Jinnas’. It aims to explore the compositional structure, text and tāla within these forms and their relevance in contemporary music and dance presentations.

भारताच्या शिक्षणव्यवस्थेत सन 2020 मध्ये लागू झालेल्या राष्ट्रीय शैक्षणिक धोरणाने (NEP 2020) एक महत्त्वपूर्ण आणि परिवर्तनकारी टप्पा निर्माण केला आहे. सुमारे तीन दशकांनंतर आलेल्या या धोरणाचा उद्देश शिक्षणाच्या सर्व स्तरांवर तत्त्वज्ञान, अध्यापन पद्धती आणि उद्दिष्टांमध्ये मूलभूत बदल घडवून आणणे हा आहे. या धोरणाचे एक विशेष वैशिष्ट्य म्हणजे संशोधन क्षेत्राला दिलेले अग्रक्रमाचे स्थान.
NEP 2020 अंतर्गत संशोधन केवळ अध्यापनापुरते मर्यादित न ठेवता, नव्या ज्ञाननिर्मितीचा केंद्रबिंदू मानले गेले आहे. संशोधन अधिक सक्षम करणे, त्याची गुणवत्ता उंचावणे आणि नाविन्यपूर्ण विचारांना चालना देण्यासाठी पोषक वातावरण निर्माण करण्यावर या धोरणात भर देण्यात आला आहे. यासाठी विविध सुधारणा सुचविण्यात आल्या असून, त्या संशोधन प्रक्रियेला अधिक परिणामकारक बनवण्यास मदत करतील.
या धोरणाद्वारे संशोधन क्षेत्राला आर्थिक, तांत्रिक तसेच धोरणात्मक पाठबळ देण्याची तरतूद करण्यात आली आहे. त्यामुळे भारताला जागतिक संशोधन क्षेत्रात अधिक स्पर्धात्मक बनण्याची संधी प्राप्त होईल. तसेच विविध शास्त्रीय आणि तांत्रिक शाखांमध्ये आंतरविषयक अभ्यासाला प्रोत्साहन देण्यात येणार असून, त्यातून नवकल्पना विकसित होतील. या नव्या संशोधन उपक्रमांमुळे देशाच्या आर्थिक व सामाजिक विकासाला निश्चितच गती मिळेल.

1. The ecological history of tropical savannas remains a subject of intense debate and of high conservation relevance. Despite emerging evidence suggesting the antiquity of tropical savannas, the misconception that all tropical savannas are products of anthropogenic deforestation still dominates public and policy spheres. Clarifying this misconception among the public and policymakers is a time- sensitive challenge and thus
necessitates utilizing culturally resonant and interdisciplinary approaches.
2. In this study, we use nature descriptions in traditional literature to triangulate the ecological history of tropical savannas in western Maharashtra, India—a region where savannas continue to be devalued as degraded forests by conservation practitioners, policymakers, and the general public. Specifically, we test the popular claim of the recent anthropogenic origin of India's savannas using data from traditional literature
and other lines of evidence.
3. We reviewed biographies, hagiographies, myths, narrative poems, and folk songs composed in Marathi language and dated between the 13th and 20th century CE to identify 28 relevant excerpts. From these excerpts, we collated georeferenced landscape descriptions alongside occurrences of plants. Using botanical literature, we classified these plants as savanna indicators, forest indicators, generalists (i.e. occurring in both savannas and forests), and cultivated plants. Finally, we use this botanical classification and qualitative landscape descriptions to reconstruct ecological history.
4. We found that descriptions of both the landscape and specific plants point to an open-canopy savanna in the past rather than a forest. Of the 44 wild plant species recorded (i.e. omitting exclusively cultivated plants), a clear majority (27 species) were savanna indicators, 14 were generalists, and only three were forest indicators. Our ecological reconstructions from traditional literature complement data from archival paintings, revenue records, plant and animal fossils, and dated molecular phylogenies of endemic
biodiversity—all attesting to the antiquity of India's savannas.
5. Policy implications: We urge conservation practitioners and policymakers to pay heed to emerging data from multiple lines of evidence—including nature descriptions in traditional literature—that clarify the ancient origins of tropical savannas. Reframing biodiversity conservation initiatives in tropical savannas—many of which are sacred natural sites—by explicitly valuing traditional literature as archives of biocultural histories could catalyse the conservation of both nature and culture.

Pour mieux l'expliquer, nous adopterons ponctuellement une optique diachronique.

Dr GR Hunter of Indian Education Service published first study of Indus Script and linked to Brahmi in his PhD thesis to University of Oxford in 1929, later published as a book in 1934. No progress was made since then in further study of it. This paper takes it forward using 1) Law of Phone Conservation, 2) Deconjoining Indus conjoined words, mostly two letters, 3) Finding grammar of Indus writing & 4) Bridging Indus Script to Brahmi & Devanāgarī. More than one hundred and fifty decipherments of seals and inscriptions altogether was carried out to understand Indus Script methodology, grammar, conjoining order, changing forms of Indus fonts and how that led to Brāhmi & Devanāgarī fonts. Indus signs for Devanāgarī fonts ज्ञ(jña), त्र(tra), क्ष(kṣa), श्र(śra), ऋ(ṛ) have been discovered. Two cardinal grammar rules discovered are 1) Doubling protocol & 2) Bracket transform. The diacritic Ā (आ) & Ō (ओ) forms of phones were represented by doubling the letters. All non-nasal sounds took Ō (ओ) forms while nasal sounds took Ā (आ) forms. So two क(ka) became को(kŌ) while two म(ma) became मा(mĀ). Bracket transform is applied if a conjoined word is bracketed in parentheses. A (मढ) becomes मायर् , a (अर) becomes आयर्. While conjoined words, letters & grammar give sound value of the written text as spoken during its time, Law of Conservation of Phone allows that sound conversion in its presently understandable form.

This dictionary is made up of four sections. Section 1 is the main part and lists Chintang words with some of their grammatical properties and English and Nepali translations. Sections 2 and 3 contain reverse indexes from Nepali to Chintang and from English to Chintang. Section 4 is a community grammar written in Nepali which summarises the basic facts of the Chintang language.

This article explores two distinct, yet interconnected movements that came to prominence in Maharashtra during the 1980s and 1990s: the Muslim Marathi literary movement and the Muslim OBC movement.

दिल्ली किंवा पांडवांनी स्थापन केलेली राजधानी इंद्रप्रस्थ व कौरवांची राजधानी हस्तिनापुर आणि महाराष्ट्रभूमीचा घनिष्ठ संबंध पउमचरीय, रामायण-महाभारत या महाकाव्यांच्या माध्यमातून आपल्या समोर येतो. पुराणांत, जैन व बौद्ध साहित्यातही आपल्याला रोचक माहिती वाचायला मिळते. त्या काळात हे राज्य महाराष्ट्र या नावाने उदयाला आलेले नव्हते, पण महाराष्ट्रातील दंडकारण्य, विदर्भ, अपरांतक, शूर्पारक, अश्मक (अस्सक), अशा राज्यांचा उल्लेख आलेला आहे. महाभारतातील युद्धात महाराष्ट्रातील अनेक गण सहभागी असल्याची वर्णने आपल्याला महाभारतात मिळतात. म्हणजे भारतातील (समजा काल्पनिक मानले तरी)  प्राचीन महायुद्धात महाराष्ट्राचा सहभाग होता हे सांस्कृतिक दृष्ट्या महत्वाचे आहे. किंबहुना सांस्कृतिक राष्ट्र म्हणून उदयाला येण्याचा तो काळ होता आणि महाराष्ट्र हे त्यात एक अग्रणी प्रादेशिक राज्य होते हे यातून दिसते.
