35% of Life Sciences employees plan to leave within the next six months. Our 2026 Life Sciences Global HR Trends Report shows this sits alongside sustained demand for specialised skills and growing pressure on workforce continuity. Pay, benefits and flexibility are the strongest drivers of movement, not dissatisfaction with the sector itself. The future of work in Life Sciences is being reshaped faster than many organisations can adapt. 🌐 New data from Gi Group Holding highlights a growing tension: while 85% of leaders anticipate that AI will require a radical rethink of workforce skills, only 39% of professionals want to adapt to the changes brought by AI by learning new tools. This gap reflects a broader challenge across the sector. From emerging skill shortages in AI, digital health and advanced MedTech, to an ageing workforce and the urgent need for reskilling, organisations are navigating a complex and rapidly evolving talent landscape. Bridging this divide will require more than hiring. It calls for intentional workforce strategies, stronger collaboration with education systems, and a renewed focus on developing skills that can keep pace with technological change. In our latest article, we explore what’s driving the Life Sciences skills gap in Europe, and what organisations can do to respond. 🎯 Find the full article on: https://lnkd.in/e-uRKw5s #GiLifeSciences #LifeSciences #HRTrends #Workforce #Careers #ArtificialIntelligence

Burnout in life sciences is no longer only a wellbeing issue, it is becoming a capability and retention risk. According to our Life Sciences Global HR Trends Report 2026, 35% of professionals in the sector are considering leaving their current organisation. When asked what would motivate them to move, the answer was clear: work–life balance. 🙌 For 41% of respondents, achieving a better balance between professional and personal life is the main driver for considering a new role, ahead of factors such as technology or innovation. In an industry built on highly specialised expertise, losing experienced professionals can disrupt research continuity, weaken collaboration and slow long-term scientific progress. 📉 The broader impact is also significant: burnout is estimated to cost the global economy $438 billion each year in lost productivity. For life sciences organisations, the message is clear: protecting workforce wellbeing is not only a people priority, but a strategic one. 🧠 👉 Read the full article to explore why workforce wellbeing must become part of the operating model in life sciences, and what leaders can do to make a real difference: https://lnkd.in/da9HQV3p #GiGroupHolding #LifeSciences #MentalHealth #WorkplaceWellness #PeopleStrategy #HRTrends
