More than 140 applied. Five made it through. The European Defence Agency has named Destinus one of the five highest-ranked applicants in its 𝐒𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐥 𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐤𝐞 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐞 𝐨𝐧 𝐥𝐨𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬. Next stop: the Santa Margarida military training area in #Portugal, where military users from EU Member States will test the finalist systems in the same scenarios, under realistic, degraded, and contested conditions. 🏆 EDA names five finalists for loitering munition challenge The European Defence Agency has completed the first stage of its Sentinel Strike Challenge, a two-stage competition designed to evaluate and field-test Europe's most promising loitering munition technologies. Following a competitive assessment of more than 140 expressions of interest, five companies have been selected to advance to operational experimentation: Helsing (Germany), Destinus (Netherlands), C-Astral Aerospace (Slovenia), UAVision (Portugal) and SAS Tech (Greece). The remaining companies in the top ten are Renegade UxS (Denmark), Robotto.ai (Denmark), Cerberon Defence Systems (Germany), Thales LAS (France) and ALTUS LSA S.A. (Greece). This autumn, the five finalists will test their systems at the Santa Margarida military training area in Portugal during EU OPEX26. Military users from EU Member States will assess the technologies under realistic and operationally relevant conditions, comparing their performance across the same scenarios.
