🌏 At the Global Nature Positive Summit 2026 in Kumamoto, Japan, GPSNR's Chen C. Wei Chen joined a panel with Mighty Earth's Kristin Urquiza, MPA and Meihua Piao to talk about turning industry commitments into real impact with the Shared Investment Mechanism. This is a pooled, co-governed fund where tire manufacturers sit at the same table and an independent, multistakeholder panel decides how funding is allocated for the good of the whole sector. Some insights from Chen C.'s presentation: 🔹 SIM has mobilised around US$3 million annually over the past two years 🔹 Across the 2025–2026 cycles, it has backed around 20 projects in Indonesia, Thailand, Côte d'Ivoire, China, India and Sri Lanka & expected to benefit more than 80,000 smallholders 🔹 In one project in Thailand, 27.1% of coached farmers adopted at least one new sustainable practice Her key message: There are six million smallholder rubber farmers globally, and private funding alone won't get us to sector-wide impact. Getting there means bringing in public, institutional and blended finance partners, and showing other commodities that this kind of collaboration is possible. 📩 Working in another commodity or on blended finance and want to talk about scaling this approach? We'd love to hear from you! The Risk Information Alliance has two public consultations open for review focussed on pilot country risk assessments for Sweden Forest and Indonesian Cocoa Sectors. The Alliance has come a long way since it began, and these consultations will take us further as we put together standardised indicators and methodologies. Learn more below!
📢 RIA is now opening not one, but two more public consultations on pilot country risk assessments! This time we have focused on the Sweden Forest and Indonesian cocoa sectors. Each pilot assessment puts into practice the joint indicators, methodology, and processes developed by RIA, and is informed by legislation, documented sources, and contributions from local stakeholders. 📝 The consultation seeks to gather feedback on the technical content, including validation or challenge of the findings, as well as the identification of any gaps. The consultation is open to a wide range of stakeholders across economic, social, environmental, and institutional groups. ⏳ Consultation is open until August 15th 2026. Learn more on the process and how you can participate: https://lnkd.in/e6bWTa8g This initiative supports RIA’s purpose of strengthening sustainability systems through collaboration, transparency, and access to credible information for better decision-making. We're at the Global Nature Positive Summit 2026 in Kumamoto, Japan this week and proud to have our own Chen C., Impacts and Assurance Manager, on the ground representing GPSNR. Chee Wei will be taking the stage to talk about scaling up funding for our shared investment mechanism. It's one thing to design a mechanism on paper; it's another to get capital actually flowing to where it's needed most. That's the conversation we came here to have. Being in a room full of people just as invested in getting this right with governments, businesses, civil society is a good reminder of why this work matters to us. Nature-positive outcomes don't happen from good intentions alone. They happen when funding, accountability, and follow-through come together. If you're there, please stop by to chat, challenge our thinking, or share what's working (and not working) in their own contexts. More updates from the summit soon — stay tuned. #GlobalNaturePositiveSummit #GPSNR #NaturePositive #SustainableFinance #ImpactInvesting #Kumamoto2026

Join Amy Smith, Fernando Bellese de Cesaro and Blake Harris CSCP on Thursday, 9 July from 7:00–8:00 PM SGT for a practical look at: ✅ How global traceability data standards work in practice ✅ What the seafood (GDST) and beef/leather (GTFBL) frameworks can teach us ✅ What a similar standard could mean for natural rubber — and why now is the time to shape it With EUDR compliance deadlines approaching and due diligence expectations rising, the window to get ahead of fragmented data systems is now. 🔗 Register here: https://lnkd.in/dsmyjF7j

What does sustainable natural rubber look like on the ground? 🌱 Our CEO Stefano Savi recently spent a few days in Xishuangbanna, Yunnan alongside the Preferred by Nature team and our member Linglong Tire to see the progress of a project backed by GPSNR's Shared Investment Mechanism. What stood out: real, workable solutions for farmers. New eco-friendly latex collection stations. Digital tools and material traceability built into everyday practice. It's a clear example of what becomes possible when companies and the wider supply chain pull in the same direction. This is the kind of collaboration that moves our sector forward and we want to see more of it. To every player across the natural rubber supply chain, in China and around the world: there's a place for you in this work. ▶️ Watch Stefano's reflections from the field below.

The Risk Information Alliance framework is now available - and we couldn't be more proud! See all the documents below and reach out to us for any questions.
📢 Publication of the Risk Information Alliance Framework and first Risk Assessment 🌱 After two years of building solid foundations, we are now having the first fruits come to life! We are proud to share that the RIA Framework is now published and available. It brings together: ✔️ A comprehensive list of criteria and indicators ✔️ A robust methodology for joint risk assessments ✔️ A risk screening module available for selected indicators Together, these components form the backbone of the Alliance, guiding the development of all future joint risk assessments and strengthening alignment across partners. 📄 Access the full set of documents here: https://lnkd.in/e4aPFgRt This milestone follows a public stakeholder consultation held in March–April 2026, which provided valuable input to refine and strengthen the framework. Along with the Framework, we are also releasing our very first risk assessment focusing on the rubber sector in Indonesia, which has been finalised after a round of public consultation. 🔍 Download and browse the risk assessment findings from our webpage: https://lnkd.in/eFAh969y 🙏 We gratefully acknowledge the support of the ISEAL Innovations Fund, with funding from SECO, which made this work possible. 🔎 Want to learn more?
