Those are the numbers coming out of Endeavor Health's AI echo rollout, and Dr. Ilya Karagodin MD sat down with the Cardiac Wire Show to walk through how they got there. Dr. Deepak Borde has an answer, and Us2.ai is part of it. Dr. Borde is a cardiac anesthesiologist in Aurangabad. In a recent interview with EchoNous, he described a 60-patient study where his team paired a handheld probe with Us2.ai's automated analysis to perform a full diastolic function assessment at the bedside. Us2.ai's FDA-cleared and CE-marked cardiac amyloidosis AI model is already highly accurate. But like all AI diagnostic models, a small proportion of cases required more information before a confident classification could be made. A new study published in Circulation: Cardiovascular Imaging asked: what if we gave the AI that information? By combining Us2.ai's deep learning output with clinical and laboratory data in a multicenter, international cohort of 1,043 patients across 9 sites, every indeterminate case was resolved. Without compromising accuracy. 🟢AUC improved from 0.89 to 0.94. 🟢Sensitivity improved from 76% to 93%. 🟢Indeterminate cases: eliminated entirely. Our co-founder Dr. Carolyn Lam, in a new Q&A in Med with CellPress, traces the arc across a career of large international trials: the ASIAN-HF registry documenting stark disparities across eleven countries, sex-difference research showing the same drugs producing different signals in women, and the patients whose HFpEF was only caught years after their first symptoms.
