We deliver a suite of evidence-based education programmes that support people to better understand their personal diabetes risk and take positive steps for their health through lifestyle and physical activity. Each course is delivered by trained DESMOND Educators and covers topics such as: 🔹 Understanding diabetes and blood glucose 🔹 Understanding risk factors 🔹 Reducing risk Delivered in small groups, sessions provide a supportive space for participants to share experiences, ask questions and discuss any concerns. We were proud to see DESMOND Health Education and the Leicester Diabetes Centre featured at the 2026 Diabetes UK Professional Conference in Liverpool. Our Implementation Lead, Alison Northern, joined Liesl Richardson from the central DAFNE team to deliver an interactive workshop on “Structured Education Reimagined: Overcoming Barriers and Inequalities”, sharing practical approaches to improving equity and accessibility in diabetes education.
