Feeding the Nation with great tasting freshly prepared food.

About us

Greggs is a leading food-on-the-go retailer with over 2,400 shops nationwide and serving over six million customers a week. We stand for great tasting, freshly prepared food that our customers can trust, at affordable prices and aim to become the customers’ favourite for food-on-the-go. With ambitions to grow to over 3,0000 shops nationwide and ownership of our supply chain, we are in a unique position to make quality, freshly prepared food accessible to anyone, anywhere. Our supply network... is being reshaped to support growth and compete more effectively in the food-on-the-go market. We're investing in a major programme to support shop expansion substantially beyond 3,000 outlets in the UK. Our shops... are being refurbished and relocated in locations away from high streets such as retail and industrial parks, motorway service stations and travel hubs, to meet the demands of busy food-on-the-go customers. Our franchise model continues to offer opportunities for further growth in non-high street locations. Our product offer... is differentiated by the way we freshly prepare food in our shops each day and offer customers outstanding value for good quality, great tasting food-on-the-go, at any time of day. This morning, we announced our 2026 interim results, reporting total sales up 7.2% to £1.1 billion and like-for-like sales up 2.1% as we continued to deliver strong cost control and outperform the market.   We have continued to broaden and innovate our menu in line with consumer food trends, introducing new products that combine quality ingredients and fresh flavours across our core categories, such as the Chicken Roll, enhanced salad options and Iced Matcha Lattes.   As well as opening new shops, we also began trialling the ‘Greggs Express’, a self-service coffee and food offer and opened our first international travel hub shop in Tenerife South Airport.   The strength of our brand and value leadership continues to ensure Greggs is a “go to” destination for food to go and the Board’s expectations for the full year outcome are unchanged.   To read the full statement, visit: https://lnkd.in/gvbkDuHR

We're passionate about stopping good food from going to waste. That's why we've been partnering with Too Good To Go since 2021, giving surplus food a second chance through Surprise Bags wherever it can't be redistributed to our outlet shops or charity partners. Today, we're proud to celebrate an incredible milestone with Too Good To Go: 7 million Surprise Bags have now been rescued from Greggs shops! A huge thank you to our colleagues and customers for embracing the partnership and helping ensure more good food gets enjoyed instead of going to waste. Every Surprise Bag rescued is another step towards reducing surplus food - and we're excited to keep building on this together.

We’re delighted to once again be supporting St Oswald's Hospice by sponsoring a sculpture on their Peter Rabbit: Tales on the Tyne trail. The trail will take place from the 15th July to the 14th September, with sculptures inspired by Beatrix Potter’s creation, Peter Rabbit™ ‘hopping up’ across Newcastle and North Tyneside. Following this, sculptures will be auctioned off with the proceeds going to St Oswald’s Hospice and the incredible work they carry out across the North East providing outstanding, specialist and expert care to adults and children with life-limiting conditions. As part of the trail, a brand-new Peter Rabbit-themed sculpture has popped up outside our Northumberland Street shop and we’re loving his new look. Like our 96 layers of golden, flaky pastry… our sculpture also has satisfying layers of detail to enjoy. What favourite Greggs patterns can you spot?

Two catastrophic earthquakes have hit Venezuela. They struck within seconds of each other. Buildings were reduced to rubble in minutes. The scale of destruction is huge. Now the survivors urgently need support. The Disasters Emergency Committee has launched the Venezuelan Earthquake Appeal. DEC charities are already on the ground working with their local partners to reach people with emergency aid, including shelter, food, water and medical care, and to support search and rescue efforts. We're proud at Greggs to once again support the DEC's appeal by turning over all charity bucket donations in company-managed shops from the 2nd July to the DEC Venezuelan Earthquake Appeal. Your donations will help them reach more families in need. Please donate now.

⭐ Our 2025 Impact Report is now live ⭐   Last year, the Greggs Foundation supported over 75,000 primary school children every day, distributed over £1.84 million in core-funding to local community organisations and provided vital relief grants to families facing acute financial challenges. In total, we awarded £5.4m via our main grant programmes throughout the course of the year and our impact report helps bring to life just some of the ways our funding is supporting communities.   A huge thank you to our Greggs colleagues, customers, supporters and partners for continuing to make our work possible.    Read the full report below to see the difference we’re making together or download at https://bit.ly/4whF61I.

Summer days call for fresh flavours and we're delivering just that for our customers today. For anyone popping into Greggs for an iced drink to cool down, we've added a new Blueberry Iced Matcha Latte to the range. We're also experts at putting a muffin shaped twist on British classics and it simply wouldn't be summer without our new Strawberries and Cream Muffin. Perfect for no fuss picnics. Finally, our Chicken Caeser Salad with Egg has been such a hit we've introduced it into even more shops across the UK making your lunchtime choice even harder.

Last week we opened our fourth Bitesize Greggs shop at London Bridge Station, one of the UK’s busiest transport hubs. Designed for high-footfall locations where space is limited, our Bitesize format brings a tailored range of Greggs favourites to customers on the move, while maintaining the same great quality and value. This also marks our third shop within London Bridge Station and reflects the demand for Greggs from the millions of passengers travelling through the station each year. Across our The Fairtrade Foundation coffee supply chain, farmers are using the Fairtrade Premium to invest beyond their farms and into the places they live. In Vietnam, farmers at the Ea Kiet co-operative are using Premium funding to support local infrastructure, healthcare and education – from road and nursery building projects to funding health services for community members. These are investments that strengthen entire communities – not just individual farms. As we mark 20 years of Fairtrade coffee at Greggs, it’s the long-term impact on people and communities that continues to matter most. So remember, every cup helps contribute to something bigger than just great taste and value. https://lnkd.in/enHApTdp

Did you know…our The Fairtrade Foundation partnership now spans tea, cocoa and more – supporting communities across our supply chain. In Kenya, farmers at the Gatunguru tea co-operative are using Fairtrade Premium to invest in what matters most to them – from rebuilding homes and protecting farmland, to creating new opportunities for women. Through training and support, more women are now co-owners of farms, earning their own income and taking on leadership roles. It’s a shift that’s creating more inclusive, resilient communities – not just stronger crops. As we mark 20 years of Fairtrade coffee, we’re proud of the broader partnership that continues to support people across our supply chain. Whether it’s an iced-coffee, chocolate sweet treat, or a cup of tea, every Fairtrade product our customers buy supports stronger communities. https://lnkd.in/edAjJ-6s
