Fragile ed effimera, l’esistenza umana prende forma nelle opere di Jacopo Dimastrogiovanni, artista e docente di pittura, finalista del premio Arte Laguna Prize 2022.
Ruggieri ricerca la verità analogica nella traccia fisica del processo di impressione-sviluppo-stampa in grado di influenzare il significato della fotografia accrescendola di articolazioni. Un registro di taglio analogico – che conserva e incarna un romanticismo tangibile e autentico rispetto all’immediatezza della fotografia digitale – blocca sulla pellicola un principio sfuggente: il tempo. Una lenta e paziente attesa da cui può originare l’errore al quale si conferisce un carattere di rarità che oggi – più che mai – sorprende sotto l’aspetto tecnico e culturale in forma di documentazione.
Damnatio memoriae è una locuzione in lingua latina che significa letteralmente "condanna della memoria". Nel diritto romano, la damnatio memoriae era una pena consistente nella cancellazione di qualsiasi traccia relativa a una determinata persona e con essa ogni prova della sua esistenza; al malcapitato dunque, toccava una sorta di “morte civile”.
