Last week, 11 graduates from our first pipefitter cohort started in production at Austal USA... And a few days before that, graduation! These 11 trainees came through 10 weeks of hands-on pipefitting training at Coastal Alabama Community College and are now production-level B-Class Pipefitters. On Thursday, in week 5 of a training program to build the next generation of submarines for the US Navy, they took the assessment that was to be passed in Week 16. Well, 90% passed!!!
