Big congratulations to Cara Melvin on this recognition! Grateful for the leadership she brings to how Reema Health. 👏
Cara Melvin, VP of Operations at Reema Health, was among those recognized at this year's NYC Awards Night as one of the Top Women Leaders in Healthcare Technology of 2025. Cara was recognized for her leadership in scaling innovative, community-centered healthcare solutions that bridge the gap between clinical care and the social needs that shape health outcomes. At Reema Health, she leads national operations across the company’s Care Delivery, Customer Success, Finance, IT, and People functions. Her work focuses on building the operational infrastructure that powers Reema's model of tech-enabled social needs navigation and virtual clinical mental health services. Reema Health works alongside health plan members to identify and address unmet social needs impacting their mental and physical well-being. The company combines community care workers, behavioral health services, and social needs navigation to break down barriers to better health. We were pleased to have Cara join us in New York for this year's event. The next Healthcare Technology Report and GrowthCap Forum event will take place this summer in Jackson Hole, WY. In a world full of nonstop spam calls and endless notifications, ghosting unknown contacts doesn’t make you unreachable - it makes you human. We're excited to be featured in LRV Health’s 2025 Impact Report -which highlights what’s possible when in-person connection becomes the starting point in a digital-first world. 🫶 • 90% of members engaged in 3 weeks • 53% fewer inpatient stays • 23% lower cost of care • 3.2x ROI in year one Read the full report here: https://lnkd.in/ewafhp6V
2025 was a watershed moment for the healthcare system. As cost, access, and morbidity pressures continued to mount, the One Big Beautiful Bill Act (OBBBA) turned the knob with the most significant shift in coverage and spending in decades. Following its passage, healthcare affordability remained front-and-center, becoming the principal issue of the government shutdown this fall. As we look ahead to 2026, we have to believe we are in the midst of a fundamental paradigm shift in which innovation will no longer be a mere differentiator or strategic advantage — it will be a determinant of survival. Healthcare organizations that can thoughtfully adapt to the current environment — a paradox of heightened demand and constricting budgets — are best poised to maintain or grow their market positions and serve their communities in perpetuity. With that in mind, partnerships between incumbents and innovators are more important than ever, and our mission to bridge the divide between these worlds has never felt more critical. We are excited to release the second edition of our Impact report today. In this report we convey our mission of investing in companies that are best positioned to have a significant and sustainable effect on the healthcare system. You will find in-depth case studies on several of our portfolio companies – Greater Good Health (Sylvia Hastanan), Humata Health (Jeremy Friese, MD), Reema Health (Justin Ley), and Reimagine Care (Dan Nardi) – along with the framework we use for defining impact at LRVHealth. We are proud of all that our portfolio companies accomplished this year, and we are looking forward to another year building companies positioned to make a positive impact on the healthcare system.
