At Slovak PRO, our mission is to build a strong, supportive community where driven professionals can connect, share, and grow. At our recent Women, Vision and Summer Skies event in Bratislava, that exact feeling of community came to life in the most beautiful way. We were deeply honored to welcome President Zuzana Čaputová as our guest of honor. In a quiet, intimate room without microphones or stages, our attendees saw firsthand what it means to lead with real courage and stay true to oneself. Sitting and talking with her in such a close setting was an unforgettable experience for everyone present. The true magic of the evening came from the open conversations among the incredible women who filled the room. We were surrounded by established top female voices shaping their industries, including Michaela Bauer, Heather Rodgers, Katarina Boledovicova, Lubica Gubova, Andrea Mešková, Eva Belková, Valentina Kasper Rosputinska, and Dasa Jurikova. The room was made whole by dynamic entrepreneurs like Kate Simkova and returning professionals continuing their careers back home, such as Nikola Majzunova and Martina Mikusova. We were also thrilled to share this space with our partners from ESET, Lucia Marková and Lenka Surotchak. A special recognition goes to our dedicated Slovak PRO team members— Gabriela Zahoranska, Eva Šimeková, Dominika Glueck, and Martina Pometlova. Stepping back from daily leadership roles to simply connect is something we rarely do. This night reminded us exactly why building the Slovak PRO community matters so much, and we look forward to many more gatherings like this in the future. Thank you to Madam President for her genuine presence and wisdom, and a huge thank you to Boris Podolak (+ his amazing team) for hosting us in the stunning spaces of The Spot.

Recently, Slovak PRO co-hosted an AI & Deep Tech Rooftop Networking reception in San Francisco as part of Deep Tech Week. Together with Slovak Investment and Trade Development Agency and the European Startup Embassy, the event brought together founders, engineers, operators, investors, and technology companies working across AI infrastructure, edge computing, defense, sustainability, fintech, medicine, and advanced R&D. The program featured insights from Abood Hannoon, Founder and CEO of Odyssey, and Amrit Bains, CTO of YYZDATA, alongside a live demonstration of Sentinel by Precision focused on tactical, offline, and edge AI environments. Organized by Martin Rapos, Head of Industry Groups at Slovak PRO, the evening combined expert presentations, a live technology demonstration, and rooftop networking. It created space for participating companies, founders, and guests to exchange ideas, build new connections, and explore opportunities across the European and US innovation ecosystems. Thank you to Slovak Investment and Trade Development Agency, the European Startup Embassy, all speakers, participating companies, and everyone who joined us in San Francisco. Events like this help connect Slovak and European innovation with international partners, investors, and technology communities.

🇺🇸🇸🇰 Slovak PRO co-sponsored the Independence Day Celebration in Bratislava Last Saturday, Slovak PRO was proud to co-sponsor a special Independence Day Celebration in the heart of Bratislava, organized by AmCham Slovakia, Bratislava Culture Hub (Vladimír Grežo) and Pavol Demes. For us, this partnership was a natural decision. Slovak PRO exists to build and strengthen relationships between Slovaks and North America, and we believe that this mission should not stop at the borders of the United States or Canada. Supporting events like this in Slovakia matters. They bring together people who care about the Slovak-American relationship, transatlantic cooperation, democracy, freedom and shared values. A big thank you to the organizers, all partners and guests for creating an evening that reminded us why these relationships are worth building, protecting and deepening. We are proud to support initiatives that bring Slovakia and the United States closer together, both abroad and at home.

As a partner of the event, Slovak PRO was proud to join AmCham Slovakia, Bratislava Culture Hub and Pavol Demes in bringing together diplomats, entrepreneurs, business leaders, academics, and friends of the transatlantic community. The Fourth of July is not only a celebration of American independence, but also a reminder of the enduring values that connect our countries: freedom, democracy, entrepreneurship, open dialogue, and international cooperation. At a time when democratic values cannot be taken for granted, moments like these remind us why strong communities, civic engagement, and international partnerships matter more than ever. A heartfelt thank you to AmCham Slovakia, Pavol Demes, Vladimír Grežo and all distinguished guests, and everyone who joined us for a wonderful evening.
