🎈 “It’s a Girl!” 🎈 “It’s a Boy!” 🎈 These photos may look like birth announcements (to be clear - they are not!). Superintendent Kelly Bielefeld and Deputy Superintendent Gil Alvarez both had children graduate as part of the Wichita Public Schools Class of 2026. This means that 18 years ago – the same year Wichita last passed a bond issue – they were celebrating the births of their students. This school year was full of hard work and great milestones – culminating in the graduation of more than 3,000 students from Wichita Public Schools in May and the Board’s vote at its June meeting to put another bond issue on the ballot in November. Learn more about the bond at www.wpsbond.org.
