Grounded Lossy Inductance Simulator Using Single FTFNTA
IEEE India Conference, Dec 10, 2020

The designed lossy inductance simulator exhibits electronic tuning altered by the bias current of the FTFNTA. Also, the values of equivalent resistance and inductance are individually and independently controllable by changing the magnitude of different passive components. To validate the workability of the proposed design, it is used in a Passive RLC filter. All simulations are performed by the PSPICE simulator and these simulated results verify the theoretical interpretation.

The proposed configuration employs two voltage differencing transconductance amplifiers (VDTAs) and does not require any passive component except the component to be scale. Hence, this configuration can be considered as a completely active circuit. The proposed circuit can increase/decrease the value of used passive component by a multiplication factor which includes the tranconductance gains of VDTAs. So, the value of passive element can be tuned electronically by varying bias currents. The presented configuration has several beneficial features such as no requirement(s) of component matching, low sensitivity indexes and excellent behavior under non-ideal conditions. The utilization of presented passive element multiplier has been validated by a high-pass filter design example. To verify the mathematical analysis, SPICE simulations have bee...

A high-performance programmable grounded resistor (PGR) using complementary metal oxide semiconductor (CMOS) technology is proposed in this paper. A highly linear CMOS resistor with equivalent resistance ranging from 9.4 to 1.5 k is obtained by cancelling the nonlinear term present in the current equation of an MOSFET working in the linear region. The proposed resistor operates on both positive as well as negative input voltage. The inherited features of PGR are simplicity, extensive control voltage range, wider bandwidth and low-power dissipation. Additionally, analog computational units such as multiplier, squarer and divider are also discussed as applications of the PGR. All circuits are implemented and simulated using TSMC 0.13 µm CMOS technology in SPICE.

Apart from this, OFDM is also considered to be a promising technique for power efficiency, multipath delay spread tolerance and robustness to the frequency selective fading channels. OFDM when used in combination with Multiple-input Multiple-output configuration increases the diversity gain and system capacity.
