We're reimagining insurance together

About us

Thanks for stopping by to find out more about us. We’re one of the largest car and home insurers in the UK and part of an international group, which is headquartered in Brussels. We go back a fair bit too – 200 years to be exact. Fast-forward to today and we’re proud to be one of the UK's leading providers of personal lines insurance and a certified Top Employer in the UK for five consecutive years, in 2022, 2023, 2024, 2025 and 2026. Our UK team stands shoulder-to-shoulder with our most important people – our customers, brokers and partners. We have more than 7 million customers and are proud to offer brilliant service when it matters. By having the customer at heart in everything we do, we scooped the Personal Lines Insurer of the Year Award at the British Insurance Awards in 2021, 2022, 2023, 2025 and 2026. Additionally, we received the Personal Lines Insurer of the Year Award at the Insurance Times Awards in 2021, 2023, 2024 and 2025, and achieved The Institute of Customer Service’s coveted ServiceMark with Distinction Accreditation. In 2025 we also acquired esure Group with their customer facing brands and the motor and home underwriting arm of Saga (AICL) as part of our 20-year partnership with them. Please note that we will only respond to private messages in working hours of 09:00 - 17:00.

Partnership announcement 📢 Home ownership is one of life's biggest milestones. But our latest NatWest research shows that many homeowners don't have a clear understanding of what their insurance covers when it comes to things like extreme heat, flooding and storms. Our research also suggests people are looking for a simpler way to sort out and manage their home insurance, with nearly nine in ten saying they'd be interested in getting relevant home insurance offers from their bank, reducing the need to start applications from scratch. That's why we're partnering with Uinsure. The partnership is part of our wider focus on making the home buying and home ownership experience easier for customers. From saving for a deposit and securing a mortgage, through to managing and protecting a home, we're focused on offering the right support at the moments that matter most. By bringing together our deep understanding of customer needs with Uinsure's insurance technology, we'll give customers a more personalised and streamlined insurance experience. As our customer needs evolve, partnerships like this help us provide more relevant support, making it easier for homeowners to make decisions that work for them. #HomeInsurance #NatWest #HomeOwnership #UKHousing

  • We are delighted to be a finalist in the Insurance Times Tech and Innovation Awards 2026. Now part of Ageas UK, esure has been shortlisted for the Best Use of Technology for Customer Experience in Claims. The pioneering Total Loss Digital App has streamlined the handling of total loss claims to improve #customerexperience and the insurance journey plus ensure payouts are made as quickly as possible. This data-driven approach also enables managers to allocate work effectively and handlers to make faster payment decisions. Built-in analytics provide real-time visibility of workload and performance, supporting stronger governance, better decision-making, and a more proactive, customer-focused claims journey. Analytics on the impact of the app show claims being processed at a faster rate and an increased customer satisfaction rating. We have also been shortlisted for two awards in the Data Analytics Excellence category. #DataAnalytics #ArtificialIntelligence #FutureofInsurance Ivonne Nava, Ph. D. Connor U. Rajlakshmi Purkayastha

We are proud to support Bourne Free Pride Festival 🌈   In addition to our sponsorship of the community village and stage our fantastic people dedicated more than 100 hours of their own time into helping to make the event a success this month.   We started supporting #BourneFree in 2019 as the result of an employee-led initiative to support and champion the LGBTQ+ community and it remains an important part of our commitment to fostering inclusion and belonging. Kev Barton (Cert CII), lead for the LGBTQ+ Colleague Resource Group at Ageas UK, said: "A heartfelt thank you to each and every volunteer who dedicated their time, energy, and passion to making this event such a success. "The support from Ageas and the commitment, hard work, and enthusiasm of the volunteers are at the heart of what makes Bourne Free possible. "Thank you to everyone who played a part in creating such a fantastic event and bringing our community together. • Proud to work in partnership with NBRA bringing together suppliers and network partners to share knowledge at the Accident Repair Industry Environmental Standard (ARIES) Awareness Day. About 50 people met to discuss why #sustainability is an integral part of their businesses and identify more opportunities to reduce waste and carbon. Our purpose is to reimagine insurance together—joining forces to create a greater positive impact, meeting the evolving needs of our customers, and finding smarter ways to protect people and society. Sustainability is a key part of delivering that purpose, ensuring we contribute to a more sustainable future through the areas where we can make the biggest difference.
