When communities come together, meaningful change happens. Last week, more than 60 #TeamOneMain volunteers joined students and staff from the Boys & Girls Club of Evansville, Indiana for the Club’s 14th Annual Community Clean-Up. Together, we helped beautify the neighborhood surrounding the Club and create a more welcoming space for the Evansville community. We were also honored to welcome Evansville Mayor Stephanie Terry, who joined us in recognizing the positive impact students make in their community. After the cleanup, volunteers hosted a financial literacy Game of Life, where students practiced real-world money management skills and teamwork. Thank you to the Boys & Girls Club of Evansville and every volunteer who helped make the day a success as we invested in the community where we live and work. #TeamOneMain #Evansville #CommunityEngagement

Financial confidence starts with access, and it's built one conversation at a time. Last week, #TeamOneMain volunteers spent the day with students from Eastwood, Parkland and Riverside High Schools in the Ysleta Independent School District for our latest Credit Worthy Signature Event. In partnership with Everfi, our team led interactive activities covering credit basics, money management and career readiness—plus a financial literacy-themed game of Jenga that brought the learning to life. We were also honored to welcome representatives from the office of Texas State Senator César Blanco, an Eastwood alum, to help encourage and inspire students. To close the event, we awarded $1,000 scholarships to five students and donated 100 laptops to the school district — helping students build a stronger financial foundation for the future. At OneMain, improving financial well-being is critical to our mission, because financial confidence helps individuals and communities thrive. In April, as part of #FinancialLiteracyMonth and #NationalVolunteerMonth, we partnered with Valley of the Sun United Way and United Way of Salt Lake to assemble and distribute more than 500 financial literacy kits to students at five elementary schools. Each kit includes age-appropriate financial education books, workbooks and hands-on learning materials designed to introduce foundational money concepts in an engaging and accessible way. Financial Literacy Month is an important reminder that learning healthy financial habits starts early. We’re proud to work alongside our community partners to help equip young learners with the knowledge and confidence they need to advance financial well-being from the very beginning.

This #TeacherAppreciationWeek, we're celebrating the educators across the country who bring Credit Worthy by OneMain Financial® into their classrooms — turning lessons on credit, budgeting and money management into skills students will carry for life. Teachers like Dennis McNerney, Renee Martin and Laura Cash are part of a growing network helping students step into adulthood with greater financial confidence. That's how lasting change begins — in classrooms, with dedicated teachers. To every teacher shaping stronger financial futures: Thank You. Access to credit isn't just a financial product. It's an economic mobility tool. This week at the Milken Institute Global Conference, OneMain Chairman and CEO Doug Shulman shared that parents with 10% more access to credit during their children's early years (age 8-18) produce a next generation with better economic mobility, higher incomes and higher educational attainment. This demonstrates why having access to affordable credit matters far beyond the balance sheet. "These are real world things that are super important to the future of America." For #TeamOneMain, making our communities stronger through volunteering is an essential part of our culture. This #NationalVolunteerMonth, we partnered with New York nonprofit Grassroots Grocery to help feed neighbors across New York City. Our volunteers split into three teams for a friendly 90-minute competition to see who could assemble the most sandwiches. Together, we made more than 1,100 sandwiches, each one helping New Yorkers in need. Grassroots Grocery’s mission of “neighbors helping neighbors” closely aligns with OneMain’s commitment to making a meaningful, lasting impact in the communities where we live and work.

What impact does 1 million hours of financial education have? It’s a high school student across the country setting long-term credit goals for milestones like buying a car or heading to college. It’s a teenager grasping how interest works. It's families starting important conversations about money and budgeting at the dinner table. This April, in honor of Financial Literacy Month, our Credit Worthy program-developed with Everfi achieved a huge milestone: 1 million hours of financial education delivered in under five years! Over 670,000 students in more than 5,000 schools nationwide have participated, and more than $250,000 in scholarships have been awarded. But the impact goes beyond the classroom—families are tapping into free resources to help support their children’s financial futures. Here’s to every young person building financial confidence, and to the educators and families making it possible!

March is Credit Education Month—and the need for financial knowledge has never been greater. 80% of teens don’t fully understand credit scores.* That’s why we created Credit Worthy, a free program now reaching students in 18% of U.S. high schools with real-world, digital-first lessons on building and managing credit. At OneMain, we’re committed to helping students and families build strong financial futures.
